Color me interested. If they stick captain’s chairs in it with usable space behind the 3rd row it’ll be on my shopping list
The Scots did it better but these are funny as well. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/scotland-snow-plows-names-titles/
You’re not wrong from a modding perspective, but I don’t like modified cars if they are “special” like the S2000 really is. To me it’s not about wringing every single hp and performance envelope that the platform can handle. Bone stock is what I’d want out of an older car, and I suspect a lot of people are in the…
And even after it’s been ridden out in 10-20 years you will probably get all this money and more back out of it even as a roller. I foresee these things value wise going the direction of the air cooled 911s, and there were WAY fewer of these built.
I love these cars, and the only thing I would have done differently is put regular analog gauges in the cluster instead of that silly Outrun digital mess that Honda decided on.
“Thinking” , or what was left of it, has packed it in and sailed far from our shores. American society has devolved into about 30% of the country being laser focused on being right at all costs, and only care about “owning” others and entrenching deeper into their own thought process than making any progress or…
You’re right but missing an important facet: it’s as or more important to Ferrari to sell as much overpriced chav prancing horse licensed gear and trinkets from keychains to stickers to hats racing shirts and jackets to the unwashed masses who drive around in 10 year old Skodas and Renaults.
I just ordered a new FireTV stick for my old but still great Sony TV from ~2011. My old original one shit the bed and was slow. The thing is awesome and cheap for what it does
You’re the best possible owner of one [especially for cheap entry price] - the VANOS jobs, timing and air struts seem to be the most common expensive fixes with earlier ones, along with that strange solenoid issue with the steering column, but it looks like emulators seem to work when the columns lock up.
Oh they are still around. This guy bought one for $800 a few weeks ago: https://www.rangerovers.net/threads/bought-a-2005-l322-for-800.346409/page-3#post-2333335 - still great deals to be had if you can wrench yourself or afford what they take to keep up.
Exhibit A is this BaTshit L322 Range Rover [I own one and would love to delude myself into thinking I can get even half what this guy did with a newer truck with 55K instead of 17K miles]: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2009-land-rover-range-rover-2/
The sister Touraeg of this generation looks way better too, to my eyes, and the $10+K in my pocket would feel better if I was in the market for something like this.
What car is it? We can sub-NPOCP it
I tried to find just the short clip, but the whole sketch is well worth the 4 minute investment for the full payoff
Interesting - thanks for the link. I thought they were going to run out production into next year and sell the existing model as a 2022
The unibrow is not doing it for me either
This happens with a lot of foreign cars - we get one more model year of the existing before turning over to the newer gen. I’d guess it has more to do with federalization than anything else being a royal PITA. Offhand example beyond just the Golf you mention includes the Range Rover which moved to L405 in 2012 for RoW…
This is a well done car, but cosplaying cop is not for me. I don’t know what kind of premium a police pack would pull, so I’m looking at it from a Z28 auto perspective and gave it the commensurate No Dice
