Until now I’d never heard of this senator but I’m inclined to like her.

I suspect Time Lords often choose to go by pseudonyms rather than their real names (the Doctor refers to “the Corsair” in “The Doctor’s Wife”).
My (apparently unpopular??) opinion: Ron and Hermione’s characters were not done justice in the films at ALL. Ron is completely sidelined in order to make Hermione look perfect, to the detriment of both. Everyone seems to have picked up this perception of Ron as a disloyal (??) slacker, when actually in the books his…
Oh, I see! Thanks for explaining that! So the land actually owned by the House of Windsor is entirely separate. That makes sense.
No I get that; I thought it was because George III went tradesies on the land income in exchange for a salary?
I never quite get the level of irritation directed at the royals. Yes, they are very rich, but it’s for the same reason that all mega-posh families are rich; they own a whack of land. The only difference is that the income from the land goes to Parliament, and the family gets a (lesser) salary instead.
I have no coherent thought besides ugly crying. What the hell kind of world are we living in?
I feel like someone, somewhere, used a time machine and messed things up and we’re now in the worst possible future.
Jane Austen Book Club is unbelievably underrated. That is a great movie, and anyone who hasn’t already done so, I recommend you watch it with your mom/grandma/etc.
I’m with you on Clara! It’s not the characters staying too long that grates on me, exactly, it’s more that each seems to have a set story and them staying after it’s done is tiresome. Clara was the Impossible Girl, mystery was solved, the end! And then she just stayed.
I can’t contribute anything substantial because all I can imagine is: “Mueller... Mueller... Mueller...”
If I had to describe the founder of “Red Pill” without knowing him, this is exactly what I would describe.
I mean. That’s kind of assuming that the other dorms won’t be having a bunch of sex too. Which they will, because teenagers.
Someone get this gal an investor.
I read the whole article but this was bugging me the entire time because I am a NERD.
Jefferson deserves to have his grave danced upon by Daveed Diggs in his pink velvet suit.
There’s a line from the film Hard Candy that I remember in situations like this: “Just because a girl knows how to imitate a woman does not mean she is ready to do what a woman does.”
She actually addresses that in a later video. She says, “Slavery’s not funny, but you people are hilarious.”
This makes me miss the hilarious and history-filled Ask A Slave web series. Highly recommend to anyone interested in this period of history!
