I mean, I’ve been driving manual only for like four years, and frankly, yeah, even with a light clutch pedal (ie, not an enthusiast oriented heavy ass pedal), it kinda sucks. Next daily will be auto.

Not a myth as far as I’m concerned. I got rid of my MT car because my commute was such a pain, and I had been driving stick for two decades at that point. An hour and a half of shifting every 10 seconds between N, 1st, and occasionally 2nd f’in sucks, especially in something with a stiff clutch.

You can still find people who think it’s safer to drive without your seatbelt buckled because “you want to be thrown clear in an accident.”
