The last time I was at the gym, I was quite embarrassed to have to ask a man who was walking by to help me remove the plates from the squat bar. It was left at just above my shoulder level, with 45s, and I wasn’t confident I could get them down without hurting myself. Put ‘em away, folks!!

I generally blame it on living in a college town and that gym being the closest to the university and employing asshole college kids. When I’ve spoken with people who’ve either witnessed or been the victims of similar behavior, that seems to be a common factor.

I only judge people at the gym who don’t re-rack their weights.
