Or the jagwagons I see every day derping about on mobile devices while hurtling down a city street or highway.

I also see SolarCity has a promising and independent service/product line of its own. Why does it necessarily have to be tied to Tesla cars even though they are part of the same company?

At 39, I think I was the oldest in the theater Wednesday night.

I can’t say that brown and purple should ever be blended as colors...

It’s just sh*tty design. I don’t think they cut corners. They just created a non-intuitive product. Boo.

I think you a word in the title of the post.

F**kin Turismo Omologato? ;)

Agreed. It’s as much a sports sedan as the original “4DSC”, the Nissan Maxima. The current iterations of each are bloated, FWD-based, mini Q ships with slushboxes. Nothing for real drivers here.

Not get on an... ahem... high horse, but that polling organization is Gallup.

As a fellow Volvo owner, I am happy to hear it!

Interesting. I got a survey from Car2Go a week ago and it cited all of these cars in its question about what kind of vehicle would I like to see added to the Car2Go fleet. It looks like ReachNow is located in Belltown but I don’t have a business address for Car2Go other than a zip code in Queen Anne. Odd coincidence -

Nice find! I think concept cars that integrate bike racks could be another worthy thread. I remember a Chrysler Cirrus that had fork mounts above the backlight and rear-wheels straps integrated into the spoiler. Made a lot of sense even if JA platform car owners aren’t exactly the active lifestyle set.

Scrolled to find a Knight Rider 2000 reference. Leaving satisfied.

IIRC that version of KITT gained some amphibious capabilities and navigated the San Antonio River.

AI, schmey-I. Why doesn’t Google Maps already have this artificial intelligence in place? When I’m looking for a destination with the app while traveling down the road (as a passenger of course), it seems that the app should sense my direction of travel based on the delta of my GPS coordinates during the search. Thus,

Insert BMW joke here.

Anything that qualifies for Baja in Class 11

And a lack of common sense around DRLs. I’ll rant about this until the cows come home: why is it that DRLs don’t go to full intensity at/after dusk? It’s asinine how many cars I see between 5-8pm that are blindly traveling on the highway with two brownish lamps up front, no taillamps, yet a fully illiuminated IP.

It’s a “complex domain”, absolutely, and I believe our roads need as much of an update as the vehicles that will traverse them. Every one of us here knows an interesection or ten on our regular commute that is just not safe for an autonomous vehicle: faded or missing road stripes and crosswalks, obscured traffic

Nope.

I feel like I’ve seen this somewhere else before... in the early 90s....
