So this is lighter than the previous ZL1 - but what’s the delta between this and the current hardtop?
No, but people who’d like a German luxury car but cannot afford one will have this on their short list.
And I’ll suggest “Cyberite”. This plays off of sybarite: “a person who is self-indulgent in their fondness for sensuous luxury.”
Question: does it have any autonomous driving capability? I’d like to be able to hide in the back so I’m not seen in it.
IIRC TransTop was never a US option.
No sh*t - it appears to be in a freaking SUV parade, following a Highlander, a Touraeg, Commander, something else, and maybe an FJ in front of that.
That is rad as hell. That 6x6 Merc G Wagen can take a hike.
I don’t think the bulbous Beetle/356/911 top half jives with the new angular lower half in Gen II. Whatever.

Nah, hang him high. The older I get, the less patience I have for selfish people like this. (Patience level is now approximately zero and I’m not even 40 yet.)
I thought it was Carlos Ghosn’s wife’s idea. (Serious.)
