The interludes are in fact part of the experience, and I believe you can get at least the first two with the game. You should definitely play them in the order they were released (between acts).  I bought it way back when Act I came out, and both The Entertainment and Limits and Demonstrations just showed up on the

Looks like DL beat me to the invitation, but you should come hang out.

Oh man, I tried playing I Wanna Be The Guy. What a ridiculous experience that couple of hours was. I saw it as not so much a challenge as it was an invitation to find out exactly how many platforming conventions and tropes are burnt into your neural pathways.

I’ve seen folks raving about Celeste over on the Gameological Discord, and it sounds like exactly the kind of game for me at the moment. I could use a carefully curated, challenging platformer right now, and anything that shares a kindred spirit with a game like Super Meat Boy is going to catch my eye. Folks have

Hi folks! This week my partner and I spent a little more time with Night in the Woods, and we’re definitely becoming attached to the characters. I follow the dev team on Twitter, and it’s pretty great to see them all excited for the latest Kentucky Route Zero at the same time that I’m picking up some strong influence

Hi Folks! I haven’t done much gaming at all this week, but I did go see some roller derby last weekend, which was excellent! The one new thing to discuss is that my partner and I started Night in the Woods! We only spent an hour or two with it before bed the other day, but I’m very interested so far. I’m

Ugh. I can’t believe his defense is basically “I’ve hired people that are opposed to hostile work environments”. Yeah, that’s why you’re getting called out in the first place. If everyone in your employ was cool with sexist behavior and assault then there would be no one accusing you of it. Hell, even when there

Exactly. I believe you can play ASA with just one player, where you do everything yourself using the tablet, but I’ve never tried it. Some of the later puzzles might actually be pretty hard in single player, with one eye on the TV and one eye on the tablet.

2 players is perfect for Affordable Space Adventures. In that situation, the responsibilities are split between two roles: the engineer and the pilot.

We finished Affordable Space Adventures!  It was excellent right to the end!

Uh oh. I may have to pick up a copy of Scythe, or at least try it out at my local board game shop. We have some friends that love playing Agricola, but it never really grabbed us as much. I think the parallel farm-building structure, where your only interaction with other people is to grab the most valuable

Yes!  I need the Goose Game in my life!

Did you ever decide whether to get Overwatch for the PS4? If so, I’d be happy to link up with you in jolly cooperation! Hit me up on the PSN at VenerableMonk27.

Put me on the board for finishing the full in-game year of Pandemic Legacy after about 18 IRL months!

I really enjoyed my time with Gunpoint!  Have you played through again with the commentary turned on?  I gained even more appreciation for it after hearing what went into everything from the level design to the writing to the two-phase soundtrack.

Hi everybody! I’ve missed you all during the winter break.

I spent a good deal of time perusing the comments in the year-end articles, and I don’t remember seeing anyone claim it as their personal fave. (At least among those who followed the prompt. We all know the Gameological staff is looking for a bit more nuance than “GOTY: Persona 5 or GTFO”.)  I can’t decide if that’s

My pile of shame includes Dishonored 2 and Metal Gear Solid V, even though one was a gift and the other was free with PS+.

Oops. Somehow Kinja logged me into my never-used burner account without telling me. I asked their support folks if they can disable it somehow, but I should probably tag it as the burner account in case it happens again.

That doofy alien! I need to keep hoarding all my Elixers to not use them on the final boss! I was also way confused by the talking colored rocks in one of the later areas of the world map. Do developers still hide such random crap in their games? I guess in some ways Nier: Automata had some odd discoveries to make,
