I'll second Flim's Bastion recommendation, and make a pitch of my own for Sleeping Dogs! "Why don't you have a pork bun in your hand? A man who never eats pork bun is NEVER a whole man!"

Thanks! Yeah spoiler warning, the pop when it happened was quite loud and startling. It feels incredibly weird when a muscle becomes detached from the thing it's supposed to pull.

McLevy's Euchre experience sounds a lot like the way my friends and family play Sheepshead together. Counting cards and signaling to your partner with your moves will certainly help you win, but we mostly treat it as a way to goof off and laugh about how we keep passing all our points to the other team by mistake.

You think so? I would think Mercy could take Torb 1v1, especially if she can use cover to regenerate. I suppose if Mercy had to take some ground where Torb had already set up his turret, she would be at a disadvantage. But that just brings up another design question. Do you let builders build their stuff in this

Yeah, that last ship puzzle is probably one of the toughest puzzles in the game, and not because it's expertly built into the language of the game. The first people who solved it did so using external software to manipulate the information the game was giving you. I'm totally cool with putting in a couple of puzzles

Ha! If games like that caused me to tear out my hair, I would be as bald as the day I was born. Thanks for the recommendation! It's going on my list!

Did you say checklist?! I'm a huge fan of games that require you to take IRL notes or screenshots to remember key details or locations to come back to. It's a big reason The Witness was one of my favorite games of 2016!

Yeah, Spla2n will be the real test, as it's the one that has the most similar data volume and content to something like Overwatch. Though, even that won't be a perfect comparison. Overwatch is running up to four more players per match (depending on the mode), and has lots of non-player objects with physics in the

Good to know! When I first got my Wii U, the WiFi connection was not stable enough to support MK8 or Smash online play, and sometimes it wouldn't even let me connect. So I did what the internet told me and picked up a USB to Ethernet adapter, gave the Wii U a static IP, opened all the right ports, and things got way

What a delight that would be! Have you played much online with the Switch? Is the connection pretty stable over WiFi? I imagine latency would be a hurdle to overcome if they wanted the online play to be as tight and responsive as it is on PC or the other consoles. I realize I don't even know if you can do a wired

Hi folks! It's been more Overwatch for me this week. I dove into the 6v6 Lockout game mode in Arcade for the first time, and I really like it! Because you can only win with your chosen team comp once, it forces you to think outside the usual "plug *this* hero in and everything is covered" framework. You also have

I had that one for a while too! Right now I'm using the Superintendent's "doodelioos" from Halo 3: ODST.

I have no idea. This is the first non-fantasy RPG I've ever participated in, and I didn't exactly have much experience in fantasy RPGs either.

Sure thing. I was a bit confused…

I'll be happy to choose race settings, and even participate if I can manage to secure a new AC adapter for my Wii U. The one I have is almost certainly dead for good…

I also did it with Dark Souls, as I had played the base game on PS3, but got a great deal on the DLC-included version on Steam. It gave me an opportunity to try a completely different character build, which turned into a "True Quality" build that could use most of the weapons and spells in the game by the end.

I've immediately replayed shorter games, like Limbo, Inside, Braid, etc. Usually it's just to go back and get achievements, but Inside especially motivated me to play it again to revisit all of the striking scenes, reconsider some of the early "narrative" bits, and look for small cues that have new meaning after

Are you interested in posting announcements and event reminders to our Discord server? I could set up a channel specifically for MK8 Deluxe, so you can tap into the growing number of Switch users among our ranks. Here's the link to the server, for folks who haven't visited yet:

Oh yeah, there's pretty much nothing you can do about Tracer sticking her pulse bombs wherever she pleases. That's just life as a squishy hero. Your only hope there is to team up with a protective Zarya in possession of a quick bubble finger.

Yeah, dealing with a good Tracer can be very difficult, especially if you're playing as Mercy. In that specific scenario, all you can do is wedge yourself in close to your tanks and hope the rest of your team sticks around to protect you. I've seen Mercies shoot down a Tracer that's spent all of her abilities (and
