You're probably thinking of Telestrations. My mom picked it up, and I was sorely disappointed that they tried to implement a scoring system based around the accuracy of the final guess. The whole point is that it's funny how the concept changes with each handoff! Don't penalize creativity with a lower score!

This week I decided to dive back into Overwatch to get my first taste of all the new updates! Folks, I am LOVING Sombra! Being a sneaky bastard, harassing the back line, and melting health bars with her automatic pistol is so great! I'm still getting the hang of her teleport, but it's super useful. I always forget

Spec Ops: The Line is a rare example of a game that's probably not supposed to be fun, but it's definitely worth playing. It has a lot to say about trauma, hero narratives, player choice, and the reasons we like playing modern war games.

So after maybe six months of sitting on the shelf, I've resumed my first playthrough of Dark Souls II. I wasn't very far when I dropped it, though I had beaten the weird forest giant thing. I leveled up my character a bit, and started exploring some previously tough areas.

Water is present in both drinks and piss. I'm thinking oil fills a similar role in Cars physiology. It checks out!

@woodsword:disqus @ApesMa:disqus, I have gone on record with the occasional bout of obnoxious pedantry, so maybe that's why it doesn't bother me so much. There's no such thing as being too precise!

Not short for anything. Some game developers and reviewers have taken to describing game elements with language words (i.e. the different parts of sentence). I believe they started using the word "verb" in place of "action" or "thing you can do with a button press" because it's clearer and more precise. Using the

That is pretty rad. I suppose you could also consider Kuribo's Shoe to be a kind of vehicle that Mario drives, but it was two dimensional, and thus easier for my preteen mind to comprehend.

Also, definitely check out the Smash Bros. 4 OST if you haven't yet. So many great remixes!

I put my entire music library on shuffle the other day and realized I have a ton of video game music! Probably the most jarring tracks were the announcer from Smash Bros. 4 saying things like "SUCCESS" in between the songs. I should probably pare down the music library on my phone to things that are actually music…

I loved listening to the call-in shows. They added so much character to the city that was otherwise absent in open-world games.

I was also kind of amazed that an ostensible driving game could also be a shooting game. I hadn't played any 3D game where you could get in and out of cars at all. Either you "played" as the car itself the whole time, or cars were static parts of the environment or otherwise non-interactive. I'm sure there were

That's kind of insane.

I'm sure you've run into the deep YouTube videos of people trying to play through Mario 64 with as few A button presses as possible. I was kind of astonished that a whole community has popped up around completely ignoring Mario's namesake ability. Of course some levels are just too tall or complex to avoid jumping,

If you know two other people with which you get along well in the same physical space, ASA is incredible. They do a great job of evenly dividing responsibilities for two people as well, but probably our best experience was when we had a fourth wheel. He did not hold any controllers, but was instead designated as

Getting struck by lightning in ASA is the funniest death I've ever experienced in a game, and you don't even have to start the level over! You just get to watch the little ship drop like a rock and wait for it to reboot itself.

Have you tried Affordable Space Adventures? (I bring it up every time someone is looking for Wii U recommendations, so I apologize if you're already heard the sermon.) It's really the perfect showcase for the tablet controller capabilities. Of course, if you don't have a Wii U, I'll echo @DrFlimFlam:disqus's

Not much going on with gaming this week, what with all the other unwelcome distractions (plus a pleasant one or two) that we've found for ourselves. I did pick up the PS4 controller just long enough to snag a deeply discounted copy of Bloodborne: Complete Edition, so I have that gem to look forward to in future.

Question: Do you then have to hide the body of your doppelganger to maintain stealth? Or does it put the guards at ease, thinking that Emily is dead and no longer a threat?

Alright. I'm sold on Dishonored 2. I don't know when I'll actually get around to playing it, though. Between this review and reading Jake Muncy's reactions to all the crazy crap she's discovering, I feel like I could spend weeks exploring the world they've set up for their players. Plus, any mention of a puzzle
