Then again, some of us don’t feel that it takes “guts” to drive a car because of the badge or the perceived cool factor. We don’t all have egos as delicate as yours.

I have a soft spot for these old Buicks but damn...$5500 is crack pipe for this car. I get that it’s rare but it’s not like there’s a hot market for this car. And if you’re going to go for an old FWD Buick you might as well give up all vague ideas of handling anyways and get a Park Avenue Ultra.
China.
That’s exactly the car my cousin and her husband (who are grandparents) have driven for about 25 years. He’s an engineer enamored with the Buick 3.8L engine, and his instincts have proven correct. They’ve had at least three of these cars that I know of. The only reasons they get rid of them is a child or grandchild…
It’s clean but it’s still an old Buick. I’d say $3k is NP for this
This is a car that has no market value, so if it’s in good shape with good tires, it will command the minimum price for a working vehicle that is still in good shape : $1,500
I’m just saying that cops in Texas have a long history of... assuming the worst about POC.
To be fair, even a white guy would do well to retain a lawyer before calling the police to report he is currently in possession of $xxx, xxx worth of cocaine.
wind-win-win situation
But they can’t be blown off their feet if they’re not there... This is clearly a ploy to increase ferry and MUNI ridership.
You misunderstood the OP’s joke, please re-read. He/she is right, it’s a pedestrian protection improvement. If there are no pedestrians because it’s so damned loud, then they’re obviously well protected!
Not to mention that it’s probably quite hard for an amateur to sell 75 lbs of coke without ending up dead or in jail.
TFA doesn’t mention it, but I am 100% sure the car buyer was a white guy. If it had been a POC the Laredo Sherriff’s Department would have sprained their wrists patting themselves on the back over their, “massive drug bust.”
You can pretty much stuff that much coke in the new BMWs 4 series nostrils.
If pedestrians cannot walk across the bridge for fear of going deaf, I'd say that pedestrian protection system is working better than could be hoped for.
“1.1HP”
And the ON switch would have been between the front seats.
Yeah, but Saab being Saab, the cars would have required 135V, 4 phase power to charge. Just because.
Agree. Saturn would have been the perfect place for GM to start rolling out PHEVs and EVs. Instead they had a token Volt or Bolt stashed in the back of the Chevy lot to make sure the showroom has space for Silverados and Tahoes.
