It’s beautiful. I wish I had had the chance to play it. I like the nod to Portal, and Alyx’s choices at the end. And I think it’s funny that this is the first time we hear Gordon’s “voice”, even if it’s in the form of a letter. I was always hopeful that we would get something like this. I also like that they leave…
I was trying to explain to my girlfriend what Steam was, and I said, “It’s like Netflix, but for videogames” and she grasped the concept immediately, and was curious if Valve, like Netflix, began to produce their own content. And I had to explain to her that Valve no longer produced their own games.

what was in the footage isnt an exact quote. the girl is at a different scale. the environment is different. they didnt trace her animation. the timing is different. its not a one to one transplant. like i said, if the creators chose to file suit, it would ultimately go to a judge to decide. like any of those pop…
Pretty much. Ideas arent copywritable. Only the specific expression of those ideas. But if u copy sometbing and its obvious, people will call u on it, and maybe sue. white privilege is all about not having to care about anything that doesnt directly affect you. thats how

I was hoping to have to struggle with being a colonizer in this game. But immediately the humans are in the right, defending themselves and being heroic. I needed a Mass Effect game that would let me be a villain, because North American culture is based on taking a foreign land.
Remember when Lionhead went all in with the idea of games as a service?
this game came out in 2003. the matrix came out in 1999. probably thr developers thought the matrix would be cool to add to their game at the time
So, are all these shows not yet picked up for full series? Or are all these shows coming in the fall season?
They were happy to co-opt the Black Lives Matter term. Why stop there? Next they will start raising gloved fists as their gesture.
sounds like the Zack Snyder Sucker Punch of videogames. great style. meagre substance.
I think you’re right. I think it was a couple things - she wouldn’t hold his hand, so he spanks her, but it was also a “saving face” sort of gesture, like, that’s why my hand was there in the first place, to give her a pat. But it was also an ownership thing, the way someone will pat a horse on its flank. I don’t…
