This reminds me of my creepy coworker and his Ukrainian 'girlfriends'. Just ugh.

Yussss, I am so sick of hearing about juice diets. Having said that, fresh apple carrot ginger juice is the business.
It's tollerable when blended with a cut up mango, but I don't believe the hype
While I enjoy fresh juice cause it's...well....fresh, the pseudoscience thrown around by lots of fanatical juicers annoys the living daylights out of me. Kris Carr is one of the worst for it, her sight gets several canards when you run it through the quack-o-meter
I love everything about this.
I just said this to someone else and not as politely, a western diet implies fucktons of edible foodlike substances and high fructose corn syrup.
BSc geography, and not American. 'Western diet' implies edible food-like substances and high fructose corn syrup, which they don't consume in the sheer volume that we do, if at all. As for cheese and yoghurt, it's balanced out by the sheer ammounts of fresh produce and olive oil is what's called a 'good fat'.…
+1
This isn't new. Look at the Downtown East Side in Vancouver.
My experiences on deadspin as a diehard Canucks fan has generally been positive
I thought I was going to gain weight when I went, for sure. I ended up losing.
WTF is that supposed to mean? What did you hope to achieve by saying that?
Oooh, that would do it. I was in Calabria, so I was pretty much surrounded by food
I think it depends on the area, and like dearheads said, it's a lack of education/access too
...Annnnd so have I. It depends where you are, I was on a farm for two months and despite eating what I thought was a LOT, I lost weight.
There's living with your parents and then there's living with your parents. The big litmus test is whether or not you're making an effort to get out (saving, job hunting etc).
...Is all I can think of
...And the US isn't?
People in Spain/Italy/Greece have got it figured out. Fresh veggies, olive oil, yoghurt, wine and cheese. Mmm.
