I was so happy when I realised that I had to write stuff in a notebook! It's odd, but I guess it's part of the way the puzzles of the game "leak" into the environment, it feels like you have to go beyond the grids to solve them I guess?

After I beat the game and got the Ancient Armour, I went back there and beat up all of them! Actually, I was a little disappointed that there was no further reward, but it was still pretty fun.

I've not played any of those but I approve of your use of Html tags!

Ooh, someone you're playing Endless Ocean! I would say that if you want a better Endless Ocean, then play Endless Ocean 2. The sequel is an improvement in basically every way, particularly in terms of providing interesting environments and more natural looking animals. The original is also clunky in a lot of ways that

I've not listened to those but Crate and Crowbar is my gaming podcast of choice. Can veer from silly tangent to serious discussion. I've discovered a bunch of interesting games through it, and the hosts have great chemistry/camaraderie. Takes a little while to hit the peak but still great even not on its best form.

This week I've been playing some interesting stuff. Last Friday, just after KG went up, I decided to play The Sea Will Claim Everything, an adventure game of sorts, by Jonas and Verena Kyratzes (Jonas Kyratzes probably most well known for writing in The Talos Principle). I say "of sorts" because it's not really

I'm not actually interested in Alan Wake, but it always upsets me when older things get removed from Steam. It just feels wrong!
Why is this happening, do you know? Are they planning a remaster or something? I think that happened with the original non-enhanced versions of Bioshocks1+2, the old versions are just gone

I've got the standard version on GOG (it's why I signed up!) but I've still never played the game. Based on what you're saying, I guess it's not really worth it to get the enhanced version then?

This week I actually completed something - 140, a music-based platformer. You control a shape which switches between square, triangle, and circle depending on how you are moving (not moving, jumping, moving), hence the name. Also it apparently has to do with the BPM of the music or something?
Anyway, I actually really

Well, I've mostly been powering through Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Was a bit bored at first since I was already familiar with the tracks, but after completing 50cc I got into it a bit cause it wasn't so slow. It's very weird to not have any progression - unlocking courses and characters - in the game at all. But I'm very

I take it you'll be writing up your findings? It's always great reading about this difficult aspect of game design, and Mario/Nintendo games in general are really good at it.

I was looking forward to that before release, glad to hear it lives up to expectations. Makes me want to skip it to the front of the infinite queue of games and buy it immediately!

Let's hope the DLC provides a post-Ganon continuation of sorts!

Wow, I never had that thought about the rock salt. That's actually a pretty neat and compelling thing.

Mostly music stuff for me - my playing is pretty damn limited if I'm going far enough back for "nostalgia". So, most recently, little bits of Breath of the Wild's music that call back to Dragon Roost. Then, hearing the "Deserted Island" battle music again in Monster Hunter Generations. Then before that, the amazing

I end up hanging out there a bit, but mostly just to listen to the calming riff on Dragon Roost. Actually, I do that more for the Lost Woods even though there's basically nothing there - that track is one of the few in this game that's actually stuck with me.

I had to look up a guide for the last park, I think it probably is harder. I looked up a guide for the water one as well, but immediately realized that I was being very stupid, wheras with this one I didn't feel that way.

This is so weird. I actually didn't see a single Lynel in all my Hyrule Castle explorations. The first time in the castle I spent a lot of time clearing out the goop blocking areas, but by the time I was ready to do Ganon, it had come back. So I just climbed a bunch of waterfalls and legged it past all the guardians,

If you want a teeny hint (probably? this was all weeks ago for me) then iirc not every Gerudo Town quest starts inside Gerudo Town.

Well I know nothing about Saint's Row, but I sure love search-fu, so have some video and article links:
