An acquaintance of mine has a young daughter who has the most BEAUTIFUL resting bitch face. She’s a normal, generally happy kid, but her neutral expression looks like she’s about to tear someone a new asshole. It’s awesome.
Also in Canada, and also have a tricky time with this issue. Where I grew up, in a small-ish city, there was one public high school and one private. Even though the public school was disgustingly over-capacity (by literally hundreds of students), my parents never even considered sending me to private school, because…
ba dum! :)
This kind of irked me too. It just adds to confusion about what consent is, which really is not a difficult concept AT ALL, but dudebros and this chick seem to obfuscate it on purpose.
I ended up with a default divorce from my former POS because he was too lazy to sign the paperwork and mail it in. We had agreed on terms, and were good to go, but WALKING TO THE MAILBOX was too much for him. BLAH.
Semi-related, but guys, seriously...
I was always a bit sad that there were no spelling bees at the school I attended as a child (maybe they’re an American thing?)
My sister hung onto her DARE shirt for YEARS, purely for the ironic wear value. She is probably the least drug and alcohol resistant person I know.
Truth. I work in a library. As long as my poncho is at least as fancy as my hippy boss’ poncho, then we’re all good.
I’m not sure how anyone gets by without housemates. My partner and my brother live with me, and together we pay the mortgage on a 900-sqft bungalow. Pooling our resources lets us get WAAAAAAYYYY more bang for our buck, instead of all paying for separate shoebox apartments we get perks like a yard!
I wish I could pretend that this is just a weird blip, but it’s not. The systemic racism towards indigenous people in Canada is so very entrenched. Beyond even the horrifying cases of women, missing indigenous kids frequently don’t even warrant an Amber alert. People living on reserves go without proper resources or…
Very wise indeed! And thinking otherwise doesn’t do you any favors either. I was recently diagnosed with a condition that, while not life-threatening, will be something that I have for the rest of my life. I had to have a good old fashioned meltdown over it before I came to the conclusion that something like that had…
And even if you are healthy, odds are you’ll still pick up some weird disease/condition/whatever anyway. It’s just part of being alive.
Combine 2 boobs for maximum boob? It’s like transformers. Or giant fighting robots.
I know right? It’s insane. I’m going to be in Victoria as well on this trip, and their hostels are $50/night for two. The difference between a tourist town and one that’s not so much, I guess?
Sure did! Don’t know what happened after that though, never heard back from the company.
The one I picked has about a dozen glowing reviews, looks good to go! :) I was surprised that it was more affordable for 2 people to stay in this apartment ($85/night) than if we had gotten a private room in a hostel (why are hostels in Vancouver $110/night???)
It’s the money thing, mostly. I did a stint as an AirBNB host and rented out my spare room, during a time where I was between roommates. It was ok until one douchecanoe decided to send me a dick pic after he checked out. Luckily I’ve got 2 roomies now that my partner and my brother live with me, so no more renting out…
Well. Those two seem like a match made in hell.
