I remember the death of Picky-Picky, the Quimby’s cat in far more detail than is probably normal, considering I read these books over 25 years ago. And when Ramona and Beezus try to get their dad to quit smoking with the little paper signs.

He certainly has a “type”, doesn’t he?

Packages of sheets usually come with a fitted sheet, two pillowcases and a top sheet.

Pfft, fart apps. My partner and I communicate through REAL farts.

My sister and I were just discussing wigs on the weekend. Mostly because we both are too fucking lazy/practical to grow our hair out from pixie cuts, and think that sometimes it must be nice to have three feet of day-glo pink hair that you could put in a ponytail.

I guarantee this plays out in Canada in much the same way. Especially in regards to life in very remote communities and chronically underfunded aboriginal reservations, many of which do not even have consistent access to clean drinking water. We always pride ourselves on our healthcare system, but it’s certainly not

As someone who is areligious, I always thought cemeteries were kind of a waste of valuable land, especially in the context of cities where space is at a premium. Obviously cemeteries are meant much more for the remembrances of the living rather than those who are actually dead, but with the options to burn or even

I work in academia. I also love a good fart joke. It’s all about balance. :)

Although I think we are trying really hard to catch up, Canadian “grad” has never seemed to me to be as elaborate as American “prom”.

I went to my prom with my best friend as my date, although he wasn’t out yet at that time. We had an exceptionally lovely time, and are still very close almost 20 years later, despite living halfway around the world from each other for 10 of those years.

Hey, a sandwich is a noble career goal! My little brother wanted to be a marshmallow or a mommy when he grew up. He is much closer to the former than the latter at this point.

I feel this way about pretty much all religion and kids. My parents let us find our own way when it came to religion (they’re both agnostics) and their three kids all have different points of view, ranging from atheist to a regular church attendee. We were encouraged to explore not only Christian beliefs and mythology

Poor sad Puritanical American colleges...

Margaret Atwood’s latest novel “The Heart Goes Last” goes into this issue as well, in true creepy dystopian fashion.

Ugh, noooo you don’t.

Can’t agree more with this.

Hating Henry Cavill seems like it would be a very easy thing to do. The man has about as much personality as a moldering half-eaten saltine cracker.

I want to give this 100 stars so everyone will see it.

I was gonna say, the looks like complete hell for only being 28 years old. Living a bit too hard and fast.

Honestly I have no idea how your average person affords daycare. The window on my own fertility is rapidly closing, and the fact that I seriously cannot afford to send a kid to daycare is one of the big reasons why I’ll probably remain child-free.
