I think what I find most annoying is that she has a certain body type, and they are always trying to make her hour glass and curvy when she isn't. She is more boxy with big breasts. I don't understand why there isn't room for that. It's not like anyone looking at it gives a shit that she doesn't have a different waist

Yep, women come in all shapes and sizes.

For me, it's not even the body snarking. It's their faces. They look like they are young in the face and neck. They look like they're still virgins waiting for their first kiss, and not sexually active women whose husbands are buying them lingerie.

This is revenge, delayed by a generation, for Love's Baby Soft.

Amen. Though I will say that I have almost choked on Bath and Body Works freesia and sweet pea plenty of times in the hallway outside my classroom. You cannot spray on hygiene, children.

Slip dresses? Awkward length hems? Large flowers prints on satin? Men in fur collar coats? Gaby Hoffman?

I have to admit, I like her a little more for having normal-people teeth, rather than Ross Gellar teeth.

I am not used to seeing teeth colored teeth anymore.

Maybe its just me but I was around for the "slinky slip dress" thing in the early 90s and loved it.

Psh.

Why, tho? Both are catering to women in need of larger sizes, tho for different reasons, but many people are saying they have purchased items from either section, because they like the look and it fit. It could just as easily be a pregnant woman who buys a plus sized dress she likes better than anything on the racks

I haven't gotten that far, but in the rental magazines or online listings many many times I have gotten all excited only to realize it was senior living.

The Target in the mall where I work has Maternity right next to Juniors and then formalwear and then Mrs. and then Plus. I wonder if the set up varies from store to store b/c whenever I see the Maternity next to Jrs, I always snicker and think of Teen Mom (yeah, I know, I'm so mature)

I usually buy sweaters/shirts and t-shirts in their maternity sections. With long arms and an "ample chest" it's easier to find the right lengths. Their extra larges are a joke, boxy and short, high up on the waist. The maternity stuff is long in all the right places with lots of room... In all the right places. I

I don't understand why that is a "problem". Yesterday I picked up something from the maternity aisle (and I'm not pregnant) because it looked supercute and able to fit me. Clothes are fucking clothes.

I don't wear plus sizes but I am ALWAYS wandering into the maternity section at Target and finding cute stuff before I realize where I am.
