Hopefully all those shoes with the huge chunky soles are on there and never get delivered.

Well David did say he doesn’t know much about VWs, but the weight thing irked me. It’s a ton and a quarter I’d wager. But the owner told him that. My 2000 Jetta GLX weighed about 3000 lbs with me in it and still had decent pep, but understeered like a greasy pig. Still miss it.

Me too

He has to hang out with Maze-Spin.

Looks like a group text from my friend’s bachelor party we had in Lake Tahoe in 2003.

You’re not wrong. Same can be said about people who buy an iPhone when you can just get a $20 Flip Phone from Target.

I also haven’t taken a vacation in 3 years.

It truly is a shame.

I have a business so it pays for the lease, no repair bills, owning depreciating assets has drawbacks, and I drive like <7000 miles a year.

My biggest gripe was the shitty all seasons it came with and the stability control could not be defeated. My current WRX has the worst damn stereo, rides pretty rough, and gets horrible gas mileage. I’m happy to turn it in come May of ‘21, looking at an S4 base model to replace it if I can swing the down payment.

Great to lease if you don’t drive a lot. Not the cheapest leases because of the 50% residual, but worry free. I loved my MKIV with PP. Fun to autocross, great highway MPG, would hold plenty of crap if you needed it, and fit 4 normal sized people. Checked a lot of boxes.

GAP coverage through my auto insurance is like 24 bucks a year.

I love GTIs, but they will break your heart. I’d only have one as an extra vehicle, not one to depend on to get you back and forth to work

As a former long-time owner of a 2000 VR6 Jetta, I can tell you this isn’t worth the trouble. Unless the timing chain had been changed (twice), the coil pack, plugs and wires (twice), all the bushings... and the hoses, and pretty much all the springs and struts... oh and I almost forgot the rotors, this is a rolling
