My maternal Grandfather fought island to island in the Pacific. He hated Japanese cars. But he was an engineer working on the Apollo program and when he retired his daughter bought an RX2. That engine supposedly sparked his interest in Asian cars again. No surprise there.

One of my best friends is Jewish and he said his family would never own a German car. They only drove Fords. I always wanted to say something but whatever.

I did some press fleet management for Isuzu in 2000 - 2001. TOD system combined with that beefy coil on plug 3.5 V6 made for a solid rig, especially offroad. We had one Trooper with a manwell and it was awesome to drive, Big tall stick shift FTW!
