To my eyes, the show has done a middling-to-poor job showing the viewer what the (show’s) public sees, which makes the supposed contrast sort of meaningless.

Especially considering how many supervillain origins can be summed up by the phrase “He was mocked for his creation”.

They did this exact same thing four years ago in NYC to celebrate Seinfeld coming to Hulu. A full size recreation of Seinfeld’s apartment, props, costumes, a setup of the curtain from the stand-up intro, and the couch that George did his shirtless pose on. Sounds like they just had all the props and sets in a garage…
