Notably, even the writers didn’t have a clue how she could beat him. Eventually they came up with “well, I guess she’s just kind of immune now for reasons”.

But really, a sniper rifle would have taken care of him pretty quick.  He wasn’t controlling everybody in a full mile radius all of the time.

I wouldn’t say it was excellent, but it was good. You are right that the show goes completely to shit when Cottonmouth is killed however. Same problem Jessica Jones had with The Purple Man. If you make a really compelling villain surrounded by a bunch of two dimentional cutouts, you probably shouldn’t be too eager to

The worst part is that one of the guys on the show is a real martial artist who was trying to get the part of Danny, but ended up being passed over because they wanted to go with someone more bland and doughy.

And more importantly, the Killgrave sized hole turned out to be impossible to fill in the second season.  That said, they really should have tried harder than “basically just Jessica but more broken and also her mother”.

I’m sure he would have cast Megan Fox as Art3mis but then given her nothing to do except somehow stick her butt out when riding the Akira bike.

Avenue Q is overrated too. The script is lazy, the songs are lazy, and the Internet is for Porn is not some shocking or hilarious revelation.  I’m over 40 and I felt like I was too young to really appreciate that show.

That’s Spielburg for you. Virtually any other director and I think it would have made this list. It took a genius to elevate the material to “watchable”.

RP1 might be stupid and condesending, but it’s packed with momentum and works alright if you don’t think about it.  It’s an entirely watchable movie.  I would totally watch it over one of these films where the action consists of people staring at each other and doing/saying nothing while nothing happens around them.

I felt like Speilburg didn’t have anybody in the target audience on his production team. Ready Player One was flawed right from the start. It was theoretically laser focused on my demographic, but felt as condescending and shallow as an episode of the Big Bang Theory. Speilburg didn’t have anybody telling him just how

Is the article talking about a different trailer than the one they linked up top? That trailer seems plenty dark to me, with even the bright and colorful scenes filled with doomsaying.

But Diane really does care, or at least tries to care. Also, one of the things I like about her character is that she’s Asian, but only because she was born that way. It is much more real for the second generation Asian character to be just another American.  It was one of the major themes from the last season, where

Another month of the incoming material being stronger than the outgoing material overall.

Flying Circus is so filthy.  I had forgotten how much of a late night show it was.

IMHO the Stallone version isn’t as bad as people say, but it did manage to make a couple of big mistakes. The first was pissing off the die hard fans by having him take off the helmet both metaphorically and physically. The second is casing Rob Schneider as a pseudo-sidekick who is tonal-whiplash personified.

I’ve been waiting for someone to put the Alan Moore penned Swamp Thing series to film so he can hate it.

I think the best thing for her would be to cast in a movie not directed by Michael “male gaze” Bay.

Remaking a hard-R 80s movie that was great for how completely bonkers it was willing to be as a PG13 by-the-numbers action movie probably had something to do with it.

It’s unfortunate the movie was so dumb and filled with dumb/pointless jokes, it felt like an unnecessary vindication for the haters. The cast could have worked fine if the script wasn’t some bottom tier no effort garbage.

I wonder if Rhupert Murdoc will ever feel guilt about kickstarting the downfall of western civilization?

Or is he going to the grave saying “fuck you, got mine”.

To be fair, I don’t understand what people liked about their albums either.
