azealia is not comparable to paula deen (who personifies white supremacy). azealia banks is also not a part of a group oppressing queer/trans people and nor does she benefit from that oppression (unlike miss ole paula deen).

Depends on who you are - most folks I know use the words both ways & intonation lefts you catch their drift. I’m Black & Bi - I use ALL the words & haven’t confused a fool yet.
IME blacks tend not to use “n*gga” as a pejorative toward one another (anymore, it’s almost a term of endearment), but it’s pretty obvious that in this circumstance Ms. Banks was trying to demean the (male) flight attendant. That’s why this is inexcusable.
