That’s a really good response from them about it, they could have easily been really angry about it, and they probably are but they are professional enough not to show it.

this reminds me a little of the Edger Wright-AntMan mess...

Also how is it that NO ONE is mentioning:

I’ve always wondered where people get this idolized version of Star fleet from Classic Trek. Every admiral, commodore and Fleet Captain tried to basically take over and destroy the Enterprise in their petty revenge plot. Kirk was a pretty bad person all things considered, he was the embodiment of the Western (and in

Yes it seems he’s tired of the franchise...time to pass the reigns to a hungrier director with a new vision...Neil Blokamp wanted to do an Alien movie...let’s see his vision!

Ridley Scott has two brilliant sci-fi children in Alien and Blade Runner, but for reasons I cannot understand, he’s always favored the AI film over the xenomorph. And given his track record, it’s become increasingly clear that Alien was more about a perfect alchemy of talent rather than his specific vision. I wish

At some point, somebody on this show is gonna die. Someone important.

This theory has terrifying implications and I love it.

There are just so many points per episode where I grimace and think, “What was the purpose of making this a prequel?” It adds nothing and only gums up literally every part of the process by making viewers wonder about how it fits into the timeline, where this technology and that alien race went, etc. It’s frustrating

I’ll see your Midichlorians, and raise you a “Anakin? No, there was no father.”

The Space Jockeys are not aliens who come from the far dark unknown reaches of space, but are actually human beings who are responsible for humans being on Earth in the first place. Also, an android that we created, David, turns out to have created the Xenomorph.

Pluto not being a planet anymore. Fuck that shit.

My expectations are solo right now.

Yes. I’ve been thinking that spoiler alerts meant don’t read this until you’ve watched the particular episode, not don’t read this we’re going to explain stuff that will happen later that you didn’t already know about.

It’s one thing to trash a show because it isn’t what you want it to be, it’s another to go out of your way to spoil a major plot point.

If the whole “Ash Tyler is Vok” thing is true, then was it really necessary to bring it up? Not all of us have been scouring IMDb pages and had noticed the connection before Katharine brought it up in her article earlier today.

That is exactly my point. We’ve come to expect high moral values from Star Trek without ever questioning what dark nights of the soul lead to those higher moral values.

I personally had a totally opposite experience with this episode and feel it’s one of the best of Trek ever. Out of any series.

To the audience Tyler is so obviously a spy that Lorca’s not just callous, he’s a fucking moron. Tyler is played by Shazad Latif, who also plays the albino Klingon Voq.
