I mean, let’s face it: The idea that women can survive in space is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese.
Nah these racist/sexist/homophobic arses have been around forever. Trump did not invent them or give them even a popular voice. All he did was become the figurehead of the people who think that equality is only seeing people like them in leading roles and anything other than 100% white hetero males is somehow a…
All I can think of when I see Shazad Latif is:
TBH, I’m worried. there’s so much going wrong with this show, the botching of the 50th anniversary, the fact that we’re rapidly approaching a 4k-media reality and DS9 and Voyager have yet to be remastered (and could by accounts, could actually be lost if film transfers aren’t done soon).
“There may be tons of politics in our film, or none at all. Whichever one helps our profits the most.”
Are we sure it’s called “Glare” and not “Lens Flare”? I really wanted to make this joke and was excited it wasn’t already posted.
Greatness, and making significant contributions, and making a change doesn’t just fall to those who are born into the right family, who are part of the right clan, or had the right grandfather or whatever. It’s in your hands, too.
Riz is truly a star to watch. I expect him to get some nominations for the Night Of and hopefully really great roles in the near future.
It’s the voice of an incredibly talented and experienced woman and filmmaker who knows that pushing a a director into a massive project that they are unprepared for does a disservice to both the director and the material.

With the 50th anniversary of Star Trek this year, there is time to ponder all the things about the show that have managed to last this long.
This a Bad Video Essay.
The Mighty Morphin Daleks were ridiculous - so much so the BBC pulled back on that and we haven’t really seen them since 2012.
I like your thinking - keep the silhouette but find something new therein. I also think they need an upgrade on tone/motivation. Less hive-mind and more ruthless, intelligent, independent and…
It would be fantastic if the BBC were allowed to retire the Daleks for 3-4 years and then re-introduce them in a new, visually compelling way. It doesn’t have to be exactly this, but just looking at this (and that Trident!!!) is more intriguing than anything we’ve seen since 2010.
I would use the word homage which is kinder than “rip-off” since film-makers are often influenced by shots and sequences and often make something reminiscent of those things while putting their own spin on them.
I don’t get the appeal of the Funko Pop figures. They look silly. Growing up I wanted toys that faithfully represented the thing they were a facsimile of. These gimondo heads on tiny bodies just don’t do it for me. I’m open to hearing why other people enjoy them, though.
Agreed. I mean, I like to know, but I also don’t like fandoms over analyzing things that clearly are pointless but become parts of hardcore fanon that then causes anger when canon fails to match up with it. Sorry, that was a run-on sentence. I hope I made some sense there.
On October 5, the first volume of a comic called Head Lopper will be released. If you missed its 2015-16 run, and…
