I need this book.

I think you can apply this ethos to all shows. Indeed, all things media, across the Internettyworld. Trouble is - fans like to talk. Fans like to KNOW. Especially before that other fan does. (Unless you’re one of those spoiler-free types, like, er... me.)

Yup, they should’ve gone with Archer’s Theme (which did close the show - and was that much better for it). I still wish the blu-ray sets featured an option to watch the show with Archer’s theme instead of Where My Heart Will Take Me.

Ditto that!

Capaldi is magisterial, and I hope he plays the Doctor for at least a couple more years. He is just so good.

Personally, I am gagging to see this. In recent years, we’ve had Interstellar, Ex Machina, The Martian - a more thoughtful and thought-provoking breed of big screen SF, so I welcome more in that vein. And I suppose it’s time for the ‘contact” movie.

Weaving’s one of those actors who is worth watching in anything. If you’ve never seen Proof, where he plays a blind photographer, or The Interview seek them out. He’s terrific. I’d love it if he ever came back to play Red Skull - we should be so lucky.

Given the pedigree of its execs, I am already curious.

I recall this, too. Storywise, I think there’s more room for maneuver in a post-ROTJ show, and perhaps LF & Disney want to leave the time immediately before Rogue One relatively uncharted for future movies...? Mere speculation on my part, and although it’s a big galaxy, the Rebellion gathers more and more characters

Up ‘til now - and the impending HBO remake - I’ve always thought this was an unacknowledged classic, so it’s good to see it getting a little love. It’s taut, sparse and genuinely edge-of-the-seat stuff and although its main reason for existence is to thrill, it does at least hint at wider ethical questions.

Entwhistle is neither misinformed nor deluded, he’s just upholding a popular myth out of, I’m sure, gentlemanly concerns for his monarch. But I’m pretty sure the heat sink over London contains even royalty’s farts too.

I just don’t see that this as a problem in any way at all. It’s down to suspension of disbelief - employed whenever one watches a movie or switches on a TV - and an actor as good as Woodard will surely convince as a different character in a universe that’s already full of bizarre coincidences.

We British - for the UK is made up of four countries, not just England - pride ourselves on the mighty, thunderous stench of our collective wind, thengyouverymuch.

This, in so many ways. I still rewatch Firefly and it’s still great. Whatever ingredients it takes to make a timeless classic, this show had them all.

2020 - Time for the Ashoka Tano movie!

In other words, there is a sedimentary layer of detritus left there by humankind... just digital, in this case.

Very cool. But anyone else think the TIE Striker looks a bit like a kite?

Anything Cindy Wu says in Doctor Who - 10th Doctor #2.13. The TARDIS lands on giant golden space pyramid Shining Horizon - “the Death Star with bling. Bit pointier.” Talking to Anubis’s planet-destroying robot, the Seeker - “Hey, did you hear about Alderaan?” Etc.
