On the lower end, reaching out to college students who are often dissuaded from registering in their college town or who can't go home to vote and forget to request absentee ballots.
Make. Voting. Easier. Open the polls for a week! Encourage early voting! If you must, require ID but make that ID accessible!
My first thought. Smile! Don't smile! You're literally always asking for it! Gotcha bitch!
I put on my "don't rape me face" today and had ten men tell me to smile.
The original genesis of it was a man, dating a woman. The woman was a game developer.
Well, we have one example of one developer who happens to have a penis, so that totally contravenes the preponderance of incidents in which doxxing has occurred.
Good application of logic.
They want to feel power over women.
"all Muslims are terrorists"
Chris Kluwe has noted that not a single #GGer has doxxed him.
I believe your point is well-founded.
What strikes me about the doxxing comment I saw was that it was posted as a weird, fucked up way of reassuring Felicia Day—their assertion was that the info was easy to find, so all her fears were silly. And it's just such ridiculous logic. Here's someone being vulnerable, and that's how you respond?
As much as I don't want to respond to this attention seeking crap, it needs to be known that you go to a "pubic" high school.
Right. What the South Carolina prosecutor is basically saying is, "Excuse me, we created these laws so white men can shoot black people with impunity. They aren't supposed to apply to women defending themselves against men!"
White men, specifically. White men standing their white ground against those scary non-white people.
BTW: The Post and Courier has been doing a lot of work lately on domestic violence that's very much worth reading.
Our concern is that the statute makes it very easy for people to shoot or stab first and to then exaggerate their fear or the real danger
I'm an attorney practicing in family court in NYC....the other day a female lawyer on the opposing side decided to oh, I don't know, zealously advocate for her client as is her job and duty, and a particularly old school Judge decided to give her a completely inappropriate scolding that involved telling her to stop…
I have threatened to do this with jury service. I was a single mom, working full time and had no-one to pick up my child after school. I told them I could not afford to pay someone and they still made me come. I told them I would bring my child, and they told me they would arrest me and put my child in social…
I would LOVE to know the judge's reasoning here when opposing counsel AGREED to stay the hearing. When opposing counsel agrees he practically is certifying that the stay of hearing will not prejudice his client in any material way by doing so. Yes the judge is free to overide these decisions as they always are but…
