What I’ve seen in articles this morning is that he’s had weapons for decades, but that it was only the past 11 months or so that he amassed the majority of his guns - around 30 of them. So he already owned 10 or more before then. To me, that says he’s been planning this for around a year, but I didn’t listen to the

He can use all the hand waving he wants by saying “I’m just talking averages here,” but he certainly said that lady brains are biologically more neurotic which makes them unable to handle the stress that man brains are biologically equipped to handle. There are a lot of assumptions in that statement, first of all

I wouldn’t use such a hyperbolic word as “diabolical,” because let’s face it, that’s giving this jackass way too much power, but declaring that an entire group of people are biologically incapable of doing your job (along with the implication that *you* are superior simply by virtue of your sex) is pretty bad, IMHO.

The dad was wearing SHORTS. Now, if I were an employee who signed a contract stipulating that I adhere to a certain professional dress code to properly represent the company when I fly, I certainly wouldn’t expect to breeze through in my shorts. But he did. Only the daughters, who would not have signed any contract

So dad’s shorts were totally cool, because he wasn’t made to change. Which seems extra weird to me since the parents are the actual employees here, the ones who would’ve signed a contract stipulating that they adhere to professional dress when flying. Not the 10 year old.

I watched the Robocop reboot. It had stripped all of the awesome social and political commentary of the original. That’s why it sucked.

Context is everything. If your critique of the film includes complaints that the women aren’t hot and are fat, you’re probably a sexist. And yes, I’ve seen guys say that shit and then express outrage at being labelled sexist for their “opinions.”

Also, healthy food tends to be more perishable, requiring more frequent visits to the store to replenish and more money. When I was at my poorest and didn’t even have a car, I had to buy all of my groceries to last two weeks until my next paycheck and figure out how to get them home from the store. I wasn’t buying

That’s the beauty of it, most of this shit is internalized and we do NOT consciously think about it. We just say shit like, “Clinton can’t pick Warren as her VP, because two women is ‘too much,’” like this idiot on CNN just did this morning. And then we get all kneejerk defensive when someone asks us to maybe take a

They’re so fucking clever but can’t be bothered to completely fill out their ballots come election day, which is why the conservative won the Supreme Court seat in Wisconsin. Several HUNDRED THOUSAND extra votes in the Dem primary that did not manage to trickle down to the Supreme vote because the little fuckers left

Or, they are women who are being covertly filmed while showering, going to the bathroom, etc and their images are being shared on porn sites. It must be brought up, because I guarantee the same kind of douche who is flying drones outside of people’s windows is the same kind of peeping tom douche who does that shit.

On a public street isn’t the same as climbing a tree in your yard and peeping through your windows, which is what these drones are doing. I absolutely agree that random gunfire only risks harming others. But what the hell, are we going to catch up legally on peeping toms using drones, because that’s fucking nasty.

I’m saying this as a Gen-Xer. Our turnout at elections was dismal, so much so that candidates didn’t bother courting us. Millenials blow us out of the water when it comes to voter turnout.

If you’re talking about millenials, they can no longer be counted out the way Gen-X could. They are politically active and they vote. We need them to be more dependable and vote at mid-terms, but baby steps. Gen-Xers were the assholes who didn’t participate at all.

He was thwarted in his attempts to kill sorority sisters because he couldn’t get into the house. He shot the three that were outside at the time. He hated men only as an extension of his hatred of women — men who were successful with women but who he deemed inferior to himself. But it was all about his hatred of women.

The way I interpreted the body language of the other students, they were shocked and staring at their desks, hoping the asshole didn’t turn on them next.

At first this really hurt my feelings, but I’m from Madison, and we basically say the same things about the rest of the state. But I’m an outcast here — I don’t watch sports and I don’t drink. So I’m seen as an oddball, even in Madison.

You already admitted that your meat supply this week cost you $40. That puts it beyond the realm of affordability for the poor. And that’s just the meat. Do you only eat meat? Unlikely. Are you feeding children as well? You haven’t mentioned it, so I don’t know. Do you have to ride public transportation for multiple

Definitely. I hated taking a purse with me on the bus. Right now I have a car again, and it’s purse time.

Same! First person in my family to go to a 4-year college (and only because it was back in the 90’s when it was still relatively affordable — if I were 18 now that would not be the case). First person to reach middle-class, and so very cognizant of how little it takes to slide back from there.
