It’s so sad that people are so thirsty for a good basketball game that they’re willing to put up with all this nonsense.

But seriously, that voice. That VOICE.
While I will hug and praise and buy the biggest, baddest, coldest beer I could get my hands on to these modders, I keep thinking that they should simply stop modding unplayable games. That way, people won’t buy broken games (or buy and return) and companies will be forced to actually release a working game instead of…
Have a star, you huge, gorgeous nerd, you.
That sucks. That doesn’t happen here tho, KwH is the same cost, regardless of time spent.
By “electricity cost” do you mean cost per KwH or cost as in “everyone’s using it at the same time so it’s more taxing to the system”?
We’ve always had intensely hot summers, with months never dropping below 38ºC (100-101F) and going as high as 43ºC (110F). None of my figures seem to have been particularly suffering, and the room they’re in is the one the sun shines all day long. It still takes my AC about 10-15 minutes to cool the room and shut…
Unless you have an Inverter AC, the AC works the same every time. It will go full blast until it reaches the temperature and then turn off. Once the temperature rises again, it turns on again and goes full blast. If it takes your AC unit an hour or two to reach the desired temperature, chances are you underdimensioned…
I can confidently confirm, with the electricity bill in hand and KwH numbers, that it is indeed WAY more efficient to leave the AC off during work hours and turning it on when you get home.
Unless you’re using the new Inverter type ACs, an air conditioner unit will go full blast until it reaches the required temperature and then turn off, then turn on again when the temperature rises to a certain degree. It doesn’t work harder, it just works for a bit longer, a lot less longer than, say, a full 9 work…
Could you mention the name of the book? I’m very interested.
This is especially common in Japan, where the AC is typically switched off when folks aren’t at home.
Absolutely!
I guess I was interested in how far they’d take their Evangelion ripoff-ing (very far), but by the end it was straight Tengen Toppa. But bad. Just... bad.
Honest answer? I don’t even know. I guess I just wanted to know how it ended.
I thought it was so unbelievably boring and dumb I couldn’t possibly tell anyone else to watch it. By the final episodes I just wanted it all to end already.
The first person view when she enters the shaft killed me.
That run was beyond insane! How long until McLaren finishes harrumph-ing in their teas and try to top this?
It’s 100% soothing, tho. You know your fate if you’re going down. In a bus anything can happen, you could end up without legs or hands or a vegetable or with just one lung.
“I can confirm that there are no loot boxes.”
“.... at launch.”
Laughs in microtransactions.
