They are smaller, lighter, cheaper, and shorter from the ground. Shorter means lower hoods, which can mean better aero. They are less efficient, which gm gets around with cylinder de activation, and need more displacement for the same power, which doesn’t matter outside of racing where displacement is restricted.

1. There is no spark plug. Fuel isn’t pre mixed with air. Instead, during intake the cylinder fills up with just air. Then just the air is compressed. As its compressed it becomes much hotter. Then the fuel is injected and is ignited by the hot air.

Related: somewhat older engines don’t crank on the first try, sometimes it takes 2-3 turns (its probably spark plug related). Most wouldn’t consider that to be a big flaw.

I think that even with todays material and engineering you end up having to make your car/truck much worse at being a vehicle in order for it to be a very bad boat. It’s sort of like flying cars: yes you can do it, but it becomes a terrible car and not a very good airplane.

What happens when you lug and engine? If the rpm get way too low, there is a very noticable and distinct vibration. Where does that come from? Why is that bad for your engine? Shouldn’t the engine run just fine, except maybe horribly inefficient? I used to think that it had something to do with oil pump not spinning

Pushrod engines are mechanically simpler. 1 cam instead of 4, the head castings are much smaller, etc.

That’s really strange considering that

Oh go shovel something. Taking up a parking spot doesn’t make one a monster.

What level of autonomy are we talking about here? People will bone just about anywhere, but sleeping in a car is really uncomfortable. Turning a car into a restaurant pod sounds absolutely disgusting.

Call the apt. management. Explain that you review cars professionally and ask to rent an additional parking spot. Ask for a separate invoice.

I may accept the lack of floor boards, but there really needs to be a foot rest next to the clutch pedal.

That! someone needs to make that!

I got a different idea. You know those bed extenders that are basically a u shaped cage that lays on the tailgate, making the bed a tail gate longer? Good.

My definition of great fortune are the Rockefellers, Waltons, Koch’s and other multi billionaire dynasties. Being a educated professional in a STEM field and being careful with your money could mean a 10M retirement fund.

Most FEA models focus on predicting when a part is going to fail. Far fewer predict how parts fail, which is what is needed for crash testing.

You might get better built and engaging to drive, depending on how you define those terms. Might as well forget about the other two.

Would you say that most rentals are 4hr, 8hr, or 24 hour?

If they are just looking for more publicity for being weird, they could do a sideways H shift pattern.

On the other hand, a somewhat dedicated person can build or maybe even buy a trailer, but they can’t do much of anything to expand infrastructure.

I knew a guy who regularly towed an rv that towed a car or a horse trailer. I didn't realize until now that this was illegal.
