a tablet central control system makes some sense, as its updateable and customizable. I think its also cheaper to manufacture than a whole dash full oh knobs and switches. I still prefer the more conventional interface (I prefer no screens in the car at all. I’ll use my phone for navigation. I don’t need an

because powered door handles are really dumb. They offer no benefit what so ever over the perfectly normal conventional handles, but are far more complex and thus more likely to break. At least powered handbrakes have some minor advantages, what do powered door handles provide? Why are they a thing?

So what shows do you consider to be smart science fiction?

Dreams, hopes and desires.

Modern vehicles are much faster than they were in the past, but that speed it provided by engines regimes that (mostly) aren’t counted against fuel economy. Most fast cars return very respectable milage if driven slowly. Economy cars return very poor milage if raced.

Plants take in carbon from the atmosphere and use it to build plant matter. In theory, you could absorb all the carbon in the atmosphere using enough plants (makes sense since oil is prehistoric grass).

not can’t keep, can’t register. presumably one could still use them offroad or on tracks.

While I agree with most of that, I’d like to nit pick the part that efficiency gains were eaten up by additional power. I don’t think that’s entirely correct.

That’s not entirely accurate. Pollutants such particulate, nox, sox, etc have come down drastically. CO2 is directly related to how much fuel is burned, and so each gallon of gas produces 20 lbs of CO2. It’s basic chemistry, and there is nothing that can be done to change that.

I think cooling requirements rank ahead of the aero considerations.

SW main weapons seem to be strangely resilient to most damage, since you would think that various fighters wouldn’t need to bother targeting those exhaust vents. Maybe it has something to do with how the SW shields work, since they are not the ST bubbles types.

What about Marvel vs Wars? Lets make it a bit more interesting!

I used to think that warp drivers were a great deal more realistic than hyperspace, but apparently the reverse is true. Who knew.

Liter bikes offer many things, but exclusivity isn’t one of them

Does it meet modern crash standards, in particularly rollover, or is it exempt due to some low volume loophole?

That looks less about resolving the CAD model and more about making the easiest shape to stamp to me.

Its for when you quit your job and move out to live in the woods.

I read that wrong. what do you have against.... marine diesels? Atkinson cycle engines? all those other boring things... I guess I answered my own question.

What do you have against high revving engines?

If I understand this formula correctly, it seems to suggest that liter bikes are woefully under powered.
