That’s no moon!

Jason,

If you make licenses much harder to get, fewer people will get them. Their quality of life will suffer. They will be upset. They will vote for leaders who will repeal your draconian standards. If there is enough of them, they will win (and who knows what kind of damage they will make in the process).

quality will suffer.

Large plants like these don’t select location for the proper neighborhood, the neighborhoods build themselves around large employers. Hell, whole cities build themselves around large employers.

In the far future, who knows, but in the near future, I really doubt it.

Watched this on mobile, instead of a distorted view I have to drag and adjust the view to point it at the right direction. Which is awesome, and makes me feel like I’m actually involved in the race.

For what its worth Nitinol (a nickel titanium alloy, although it may not be the same nickel titanium alloy) is what is used to make those super flexible frames for glasses that you can wind around your finger and have them return to their original shape.

Clearly the solution involves much bigger wheels.

A Faraday cage is a nothing more than a metal box connected to ground. Most stationary electrical equipment already has one.

Tires will have to get a great deal cheaper before we see that performance in everything, also we’d need much better safety systems.

On the one hand, I really agree with you. On the other hand, the M3 is a really cool motorcycle.

I’ll have to take your word for it. Youtube videos show lots of specialized cranes but very little in a way of dedicated automation.

What is this for:

It can survive anything except a deadline.

I believe it’s similar glass, but in the teslas case its a composit of glass/plastic/glass (not sure how many layers there are). In case of phones, the glass has to be really thin, so there isn’t room for that.

I’m curious if they have a transmission to hit that top speed, or if there are some advances in motors.

Call me when what you are talking about is actually possible. The current state of technology is one in which robot struggle to fold socks, and neural network can’t tell vegetables apart.

Companies aren’t in the business of reducing staff, or cutting costs. They are in the business of maximizing profit, and that isn’t the same thing.

You can think whatever you want, but there is no real way to know. Maybe your wishful thinking is justified. Maybe not.
