OMG! That number had me swooning for him too! It did me in. Team Greg forever!

I started by doing a 2.5 month internship at a newspaper. That gave me some clippings and the insight into journalism mechanics, which I lacked. Get used to pitching stories. Practice and refine the art of pitching, and you should be fine. For editing work, I was lucky to get some while I freelanced as a translator.

You can realize you’ve already done a lot of hard work and became self-aware. That is the first hurdle for many people, and you’ve managed to do it — you should be proud of yourself.

This is what Jezebel is for! Remember: YOU’RE DOING IT! You’re becoming a better you, little by little. Look at the big picture and see how much progress you’ve made in your life. Celebrate yourself often, especially when you’re replaying bad things in your head.

So what you wrote really rang a bell with me. I’ve felt similar things throughout my life. I’ve also acted out in similar ways. I’m just a few years older than you, and I’ve really managed to reel it in with regular therapy and making good choices for myself.

Let me just go ahead and rip the bandaid: he’s not going to change. It’s cultural and deeply ingrained - family always comes first. That means, before you and your relationship. If you two were to get married, the rule i adapted to blood relatives come first.

I found some Shisheido products on sale at the duty free. I got the eyeliner and a tube of mascara. Can’t wait to try them tomorrow for my first day at my new job!

So, I’ve moved to Cambodia - it’s Sunday morning social for me!

I did grow up bilingual and picked up the two others later over a decade of my life. To be honest, the key to really picking up what we refer to as a “working language” is to live in a country where it’s spoken. So I’d advise to plan for that whenever you decide on adding (another) one!

I came here to just contribute my two cents as an American exchange student in Italy at the same time of the murder and as a translator & conference interpreter, who has Italian in her language combination.

THIS. Only this explains Trump voters.

Yay! Conference interpreter here. English-Spanish-French-Italian. The interpreting profession is a noble and underappreciated one. Once in a while, it even feels rewarding ;) Welcome to the club!

Wow thanks! That’s some professional level kitteh cleaning advice right there!

Right? And just after Hilary apologized for her emailing fiasco, he doesn’t have the balls to take this chance to apologize for his idiocy. He could’ve look just so much better if he had buckled down and said “Sorry”. Still wouldn’t vote for him, but I might’ve looked at him differently: as in more human less orange

Maybe that was the point. Perhaps that was his tactic? To distract people from what she was saying by sniffling all night long.

Mine does the same thing. I’ve taken to just bleaching the corners in my house twice a week “just in case”. I’m never sure if what I smell is my imagination, old pee or new pee.

I guess he’s really Canadian, after all...

Haha, OK, I was worried there for a sec. I just... had no idea it was this common! But I’m glad to find out it is. I’ll give anti-gas pills a try on my upcoming transatlantic flight to see if that helps alleviate the symptoms.

Thanks for the feedback!
