Though it would’ve been a great opportunity to pull Diana Muldar out of retirement for a Dr Pulaski cameo, I like that the show presents former people from Picard’s long career, like his doctor from the Stargazer or his post Riker Number One who kind of dislikes him and had a much more casual relationship.
