The widower dad episode was pretty great. That trunk Bobby had carved with the mom’s handwriting?  All.the.tears.

I think law enforcement attracts authoritarian personalities by default. It’s also, in America at least, a job that provides a lot of power while not requiring a lot of education or training.

Where I grew up in the Caribbean in the 90s, cops were much the same except.

1. They didn’t carry guns, and most people didn’t

Real question:

When Shorty got her teeth fixed, I fucking lost it.  Thinking about how she hid her smile basically her entire life.  Tears. So many tears.  I wish them the best.

I like to think there was a lot more going on behind the scenes that didn’t make it into the short episode, such as meetings, etc. with the bottler/distributor, etc. I don’t think they would make such a point about the guys teaching people there’s no shame in accepting help, if they weren’t going to be offering help

Love hearing about their happy beginning! These good-news stories keep me sane.

Yeah, seeing that episode, I was worried that it would be some sort of hit-and-run makeover, merely done for the camera. However, both sisters do have business degrees, so that they are able to maintain the business after the upgrades shouldn’t be surprising. I think it was clear that any changes to the business,

Copyright might be one reason. Way more likely to get yourselves in trouble if you just go around doing screenshots. Why take the risk? Also it is not their job to get around your company’s shitty filters.

Channel Seven seems like the kind of place that would "solve" the problem of sexual harrassment in the workplace by firing all the good-looking secretaries and interns.

If it’s a major ingredient, it HAS to be listed on the label. Under a certain percentage, things can be labelled as “natural flavor” or “spices,” etc. But the amounts have to be small in order for that to happen. And there aren’t that many herbs/spices that are common allergens.

Absolutely, that was my first thought. Such a mocking, nasty tone when the request to retire sexist gender terms to designate firefighters is eminently reasonable. WTF, Jezebel?

Yeah, what’s with the snark? It’s a minor thing, but surely we all understand that “minor things” are how patriarchy persists. Kind of shitty to make fun of a good-natured call-out like that one.

Not sure I get the mocking tone here. It seems like a reasonable tweet!

Arrow and Legends seem to be in agreement that ARGUS is in charge, metahumans/vigilantes are outlawed and the future sucks. The Flash is blatantly ignoring what Legends and Arrow are showing because it doesn’t fit The Flash. If ARGUS outlawed metahumans and vigilantes it doesn’t make sense that they’d allow the Flash

My mom and I exchanged about six different “TELL HIM, NORA” texts during the course of the episode, haha.

I agree that Thawne’s running Grace as well as Nora.

And if it was gonna be done by anyone, it probably had to be Sherloque. I mean, he’s French AND a Wells, so everything he says is with a bit of condescension anyway.

Didn’t know she’s directing. That’s awesome!
