Honestly, I find enough guilty pleasure in all of them, but Birds of Prey is genuinely good IMO. The others.... I like ‘em (even Snyder Cut), but I don’t fault anyone for not liking them.

Yeah, it was an incredibly fun and zippy movie.

I love Birds of Prey and would like that treatment for Harley and Ivy.

A joker esque movie for Ivy would have been better with that idea. A female scientist who is yearning for men to take her seriously about her solutions to climate change and then becomes an eco terrorist to show them all. Someone like Isla Fisher or Jessica Chastain would have killed it.

Harley Quinn’s doing pretty well for what basically started off as a one-off throwaway background character in a kids’ cartoon.

Just another shout out to that cartoon being great. My only prior Harley experience had been seeing her in things like the Arkham Asylum game and that stuff really turned me off from giving the character any of my attention.

the Arrowverse series will soon have to contend with the departure of two actors who’ve been a part of the show since its 2014 debut: Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh.

I’ve stuck with it the whole way, and even enjoyed it in season 3/4 when a lot of people seemed to lose interest, because the cast just seemed to be having so much fun and it came across on screen, but ever since Crisis even I’m flagging. You’re right - the spark doesn’t seem to be there in the same way from the cast,

I really think the Flash should switch to a streaming format where they tell a good story with however many episodes they need rather than ironing a thin story out across a fixed number of episodes.

I enjoyed this series but now it’s just too tiresome. I went from being a big fan of it to just utterly exhausted of it and wishing they’d have ended it 1 or 2 seasons ago. Arrow wasn’t even this exhausting / tiresome when it ended (though it was getting there), but Barry Allen is becoming constantly insufferable and

wouldn’t be surprised if s8 is the final season, esp with Gustin about to become a father.

Cavanaugh was/is a great villain, which is why his Reverse-Flash keeps coming back. The Earth-2 Harrison Wells is also great. The let’s-change-Wells-every-season schtick got tired after season three started.

I recall when HBO Max announced this whole simultaneous release business and a legion of film school geeks were up in arms saying it would destroy the theater industry. Instead it’s doing the opposite.

MK was one I’d have liked to have caught in the theater. Dumb/Fun as fuck.

And I still think that she knew that she wasn’t going to win. Rose’s over thirty, and I really don’t think that Ru likes theatre kids, which is rich coming from someone whose own persona is so rehearsed and manufactured. RuPaul essentially told her that her prize was going to be the ability to gloat to Jan that she

I’m going to guess she’s going to be coming back a few times just like Vanjie. Joy.

Didn’t they basically get rid of Brandon Routh because they thought he was too expensive? And he wanted to stay! I can see the same thing happening with Purcell, unfortunately.

I think Warner Studios has always been a bit more assholish than Disney, but the AT& T merger and the consequential budget and staff cuts have probably increased the mercernary attitude that was always prevalent in the business. There’s degree to which these budget and staff cuts are performative for the studio’s new

I mean, the Julia Louis-Dreyfuss scene should probably be taught in acting schools as a key example of what “stealing a scene” looks like. She just strutted in there and took it.

Symone’s photo address was the most raw, honest, and sincere speech that I’ve seen in one of these episodes in years. She’s so wonderful.
