I'm going to give you a star, but only because Sky Blue deserves two.
Invoke nostalgia... 2am posting on a phone is never a good idea.
Don't do a google image search for "horse missile." You will only be disappointed.
Oh, I missed those photos! Potential for your mom jokes still stands.
OR maybe the turbos are in a "hot-v" configuration! That would explain the need for a wider V angle. Also, I am trying really hard not to turn either of my last two sentences in to "your mom" jokes.
What is so hard to understand about more power, more torque, better mileage?
Ford may have built their empire on V8s (although not more so than any other American manufacturer), but they are building their future on small displacement turbocharged engines. The GT may mark the anniversary of a famed win, but it is not a retro throwback meant to it keeps nostalgia like it's predecessor. This is…
Mazda Millenia (spelling? I wasn't allowed to Google :D). 2.3l supercharged V6 with 210hp I think. Why do I remember these things but can't remember my daughters birthday or where I put the keys?!
Ford! I had an orange one too!
AND THE KIDS OFF MY LAWN!
APR is quality stuff! I had no idea that engine was so stout. A GTI is on my list to look at next spring. Thanks for the info.
Yeah, DatsawakoX said, please elaborate! This chip is for the 1.8t, not the 2.0t in the GTI? That's a pretty big jump with no supporting mods for the 1.8t.
Where are you guys based out of?
Yes! I had a seat time advantage on those guys for sure. My RS has a stock engine, but I have been experimenting with the suspension for years. My favorite setup is actually made up of all stock Subaru parts from different years, centered around revavled STI Inverted struts.
I haven't met the guys at BRAKIM but the Huebbes are definitely great people.
I have noticed that too, but the dude-bros have started migrating to rally more and more. Rallycrosses used to be a safe haven from them, but now you see dudes show up in WRXs with 12 lights raised 3" to clear the truck tires. It's like rally rice.
We must be of a similar age. I graduated high school in 2001, and the original WRX must have dropped around April of that year as a 2001 model. I remember a guy I severely disliked got one for graduation and drove it the last few weeks of school. I got my 2000 2.5 RS back in 05 when they were still kind of unloved.…
This thread has reminded me why I quit going to car shows. I always leave angry!
Subarus are tough to own these days, as they have kind of become the Hondas of the late 90s. I've had a 2.5RS for almost 10 years that has gone from daily driver to rally beater. It has been interesting to watch the demographic of owners change over the years.
