I’d love it if the combat is turn-based like Divinity and not the combat system of Baldur’s Gate.  (What would you call that? Pause-if-you-want auto fighting?)

I am SO over Gen 1 I never want another game restricted to the first 150 again.

They also showed off random battles in the previous video, so I imagine it’ll be a combination.  Probably similar to the shaking-grass mechanic of previous games.

What even does that last panel mean? How is catching horses a more extreme version of burning down a whole village?

I tried playing Baldur’s Gate 2 on my tablet because I kept hearing how great it was. It definitely feels its age, though, as there’s absolutely no on-boarding and I couldn’t figure out the UI for the life of me. XD Pretty sure I’ve spent 4 game hours in that intro dungeon (and maybe 12 in-game days as I keep

Noooooo you were doing so well for so longggg

I really like the Yokai Watch series, and this one looks like a really interesting change to the formula.  But I’m wondering if I’ve gotta watch the Shadowside show (movie?) to understand why all the Yokai have weird-looking tall versions of themselves. XD

Unlikely, since there game comes out before e3.

Right? If you’re going to rip off a tabletop adventure, why go straight to the most famous one?

I bet the animators are still working on this. Spiderverse they were still animating up until a couple weeks from release.

I bought A LOT of 3ds games, and many are 50+ hr games (rpgs and Pokemon and Harvest Moon-alikes). I still haven't finished Yokai Watch 3 or Detective Pikachu or Monster Hunter Stories...

Boy am I SO glad they’re getting rid of Wyrmprints in summons. I have so many 5* Wyrmprints and SO few 5* heroes and dragons. XD (Like maybe 3:1)

I started both Dragalia and Food Fantasy when they launched, and believe me that I’m still not super-familiar with maybe a third of Dragalia’s mechanics and materials. XD  (Fell off Food Fantasy after a big difficulty spike around level 30)

When almost everything is chock ablock with straight white dudes, intentionally seeking out creators who don’t fit that mold is not discrimination.  You’ll get plenty enough exposure to white folks in general media without even trying.

Do you not play games?  If not, why are you reading Kotaku?

There is no excuse for this.  Epic is making a gazillion dollars off Fortnite.  Use some of that money to actually support the employees who’re killing themselves to line the pockets of boardroom executives!

Except back in February there was that Sony patent that alluded to the possibility of complete backwards compatibility through emulation.  Which is the entire reason PS4-only compat is a bit of a disappointment compared to the rumors.

Only backwards compatible with Ps4? That's a shame, was hoping the rumors of all the way back to Ps1 were true. XD

Really should be tracking the balloons' path as well. Bad lettering can break panel flow.
