I just bought something similar. But boy did I have a hard time finding something for use with a Cintiq: no keyboard tray (I need to reach the drawing surface of my monitor), yet able to support more than 20lbs (I think my Cintiq alone is 25).

I’m saying it’s a false equivalence. Visual novels are to games what trashy grocery store paperbacks are to fiction, or what Cinemax is to movies. If the HuniePop developers made a dating game where the characters sat down at dinner and had a nice chit-chat and all went home, that would also be an interesting article.

Is “soil” Caliber a romance sim? No? Then your logic is flawed, Flawed_Logic. If the only objectification of women in games was in dating sims, we’d be miles ahead of where we’re at.

How do you figure? It’s really not that hard to find talented artists who like a thing, and then send them a message asking if they’d do some work-for-hire. Plenty of companies hire fanartists for work.

If you already have a contract, that means you’re getting paid when you complete the piece. This is completely different, because even if you complete a piece, there’s only a slim chance of getting paid.

Doing mock voice work is doing an audition. That’s like submitting a portfolio of your art in order to be chosen to do an art piece. That is fine.

Do you work freelance? Because how else can you deem this slippery slope isn’t there yet?

If it was a fan contest where they tweeted the winner on their social media feeds, that would be one thing. The fact is they’re using fans to create actual work for their game that’s going to be sold for $60 a pop. That’s the stuff that you pay your artists for, not do on-spec.

Picked finalists to do MORE free work? That’s totally shitty.

Assassins Creed Odyssey is October, Fallout 76 is in November, Smash Bros in December.

Way to dodge the point. Third trailer, not even the first thing, your argument is moot.

It’s just weird when people insist diversity is “just” a marketing ploy. Because when a game is NOT diverse, and people ASK for more diversity, so many commenters chime in with “Well the demographic is white men, so it’s just what the market wants.” How do we stop and ask “is this ethical?” when it comes to including

Except it wasn’t even remotely the first thing in that trailer (which btw is already the THIRD trailer for this game). You see a buncha’ people dancing, including her girlfriend dancing with a dude. Then Ellie talks for a while with a guy, then she talks for a while with her gf, then dances, and THEN there’s a kiss.

Smash, Mario Party, Lets Go P/E, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade DLC, Daemon x Machina is literally twice as many exclusives as you “literally” listed. XD

I mean, getting to the point where LGBTQ+ representation ISN’T treated like a giant novelty is kind of the goal? And we can’t get to that point unless we actually get moments like this.

I just want to be able to murder Solas... This is the only thing I want.

I mean, people lose their collective shits over various mobile games as well.

As someone who has no problem with still playing 3DS games (I’m still finishing up Spirit of Justice and Detective Pikachu), I’m kind of excited for another good 3DS game.

Aw, I really loved that mode. Chaotic things like that are what make the game fun for me to play with people of wildly different skill levels, like when I play Smash during the holidays with my sister, mom, and uncle. My mom’s not great at games, but she really enjoys playing Smash Bros because the random items like

Fair enough.
