Wait, did something happen or someone prominent said something? Or you catching that vibe from the new public-facing E3? Surely there was a catalyst for this article, right? Here I was, about to be unhappy at someone or someones specific, instead of the vagueries of the average neckbeard. :C

I mean, all the tweets looked like they were from native Japanese speakers. Fairly sure the article implied this was a debate amongst Japanese fans.

Did you not watch? The Direct featured all of those games. :/ Heck, the very first game the Direct showed was a bunch of people in a garage, playing ARMS.

Previously announced was Xenoblade 2, Mario Odyssey, Fire Emblem Warriors, obvs Splatoon 2/Arms/Pokken...

Ever Oasis!! Is Kotaku going to have a review?

Sure, but the way this podcast sounded (and the Giant Beastcast, where I heard it earlier), felt like a “whatever happened to Phoenix Wright games? I miss those” rather than a “AA 6 was great, I want more!” or “I hope Capcom localizes Great Ace Attorney/2 soon!” response.

Second podcast I’ve heard people go “Maybe Capcom will have a new Phoenix Wright game...”

I use it to keep up with game projects that I’d otherwise lose track of, or good deals on video game stuff. Was the only way I was able to nab some of those “blink and you’ll miss it” restock times of amiibo, back when they were scarce.

I mean, the Harry Potter sections are the most recent, so it stands to reason that their design sensibilities and/or engineering capabilities are improving each time.

I’m actually not that surprised. There are about a dozen avid gamers at my workplace, and only one of them is the kind of person who bothers with old games.

Or proven wrong before that, since Nintendo’s had a slate of upcoming 3DS games for a while now, like Lady Layton, Ever Oasis, Monster Hunter Stories... Snack World if they decide to localize it...

Better late than never. Good that Bioware’s trying to make right.

New 2ds and New 3ds have the same innards, though I think they lightened the weight of the New 2DS by a few fractions.

Not unless you’re really fond of old games. Recent versions of Pokemon have included so many additional Quality-of-Life features that I can’t imagine going this far back. Not to mention, the entire stats-system got rehauled in the generation AFTER Gold/Silver, so even if you got into Pokemon from this game, less of

“Same world, new story” tends to be the jist of the third version. Interesting they’re splitting it. Wonder if it’ll be as different as Black/White 2 was to Black/White, or if this is a weird sort of half-step.

Watch, it’ll just be the announcement of Legendaries for Pokemon Go. ;)

Mine are modest: A localization of The Great Ace Attorney (and its upcoming sequel), and for that Splatoon Pro Controller to get a US release.

New Leaf is what sold me on the 3DS, so it’s not that crazy to believe it’d be a system seller for a lot of people.

Doubt the author would know every character for every single cosplay article. Who would?

Sure, but these articles have always been about the press conferences/Directs. I don’t think they’ve ever encompassed the Treehouse coverage.
