ESPN unveiled this font + dark + lime green scheme during the lead up to the NFL Draft. I don’t remember exactly but I think it was featured in some of the pre-draft prospect segments and on some of the on-screen production.  I remember thinking it looked like they were using highlighters on the screen.  I guess it

I agree and was coming to see how far down I had to go to find a comment like this. Thankfully not *too* far.

Was anybody else thinking that this was a great strategy? While 39 yards is no chip shot, the odds of the Chargers winning in that spot are high with no time left. Moving the field goal 5 yards closer each time increases those odds obviously but maybe less so than the advantage you gain by practice reps at jumping the

When reached for comment, Brearley’s staff did not express surprise because they are used to The Goose crapping on the school.

This deserves more stars. Good work.

The book The Horseman of the Esophagus has a very entertaining section about the Wing Bowl and some of it’s competitors. The book is like ten years old so it’s talking about the “golden age” of the Wing Bowl alluded to above and in comments. I was hesitant to read a book about competitive eating but it was a really

“You think that’s a tease?”

This.

Good idea, better movie. I might need to go watch that again this weekend.

Not pictured: the sinking ship piloted by an overrated French helmsman.

I don’t know why this hasn’t gotten more love?! +1

That’s a good one.

Matt - definitely agree this is in direct response to the St Theresa’s incident, and that has been reported. I was just saying that there’s an even more direct connection with the current league director and former director from St Theresa’s. Trying to think of an apt pro analogy but I’m at a loss.

I’m from Kenilworth (the town that had the previous girls basketball controversy) and knew Rich Donovan when he was CYO director at St Theresa’s in Kenilworth. Nobody seems to have noticed the connection between these two stories (admittedly haven’t read everything online about them but the most shared posts haven’t

Did anybody else always try to force a delayed penalty own goal in NHL 93? I managed to do it once by checking the puck handler close enough that the puck rolled in. Tried so many times and it only worked once. Probably the most fun NHL game every made (NHL 96 close second in my book) and you could do some crazy

I can’t believe I forgot about that show. Just googled it because I couldn’t remember and my god how could I forget that gem. Thanks for the reminder.

Double Dare gets a lot of love, and it was the best, but I rarely ever see anybody reminisce about Wild and Crazy Kids. Legends of the Hidden Temple gets far more internet love than WCK and I just don’t get it.

Never thought I’d be given a chance to share one of my favorite things about B&G. One of their factories/warehouses is in Roseland near my house and I drive past it frequently. They have a sign outside facing the street showing the number of days since their last accident. I took a strange satisfaction of seeing it

So you’re saying that Scotty didn’t know?
