It’s not about whether or not it can bring new players. It’s about how it makes its current players look. Have some perspective. And if this is your reaction to people worried about how an article on a gaming site makes them look, then by all means go to another MMO. I can assure you they wouldn’t want you in theirs.

But you don’t/can’t pay for characters, and lootboxes only have a small chance for credits so shouldn’t be the reason why people buy them in the first place.

Idk, I played the 10 hours and ended with 30k—and that’s after I already bought a few crates. I don’t think it’ll take nearly as long as people are saying it does. And even if so, I don’t care. It’s something to work towards in the game.
