I don’t believe a word you’re saying.
I don’t believe a word you’re saying.
To be fair, ‘being myopic about your chosen approach to the hobby’ is pretty deeply ingrained in gaming culture; what else do you expect us to do, learn and/or grow, like emotionally healthy, well-adjusted human beings?!
Yeah, a more reasonable way to say it is: if somebody already has a gaming PC, then there isn’t much reason for them to buy an Xbox. I think that makes sense!
I do not feel the need nor the desire to build or maintain a gaming PC. I would wager the majority of people who play games feel the same way.
Now is one of the worst times in modern history to build a gaming PC due to scalping, mining, tariffs, and the overall high MSRPs of AIB graphics cards. You will end up paying double the price to match the performance of the XSX. Budget builds are dead right now, which is where the XSX fits in perfectly.
There is so little reason for an Xbox to exist.
If there were so little reason for the Xbox to exist, there wouldn’t be millions of Xboxes in the world. People really need to let the “just build a gaming PC” take die, it just makes you look myopic.
I mean... the expense is one reason: you could buy a Series X (assuming you could find one) and a fairly barebones PC for your day-to-day PC use and still not come close to the expense of buying (or building) a PC comparable to a Series X. Not to mention people (like me) who just don’t like PC gaming - I just don’t…
No, I understand now. My guess is that the online paper was self-published, but I think it must have gotten through peer review at the Law and Econ journal if they were intending to publish it.
When people ask me about “what movies would you like to see rebooted” this movie is invariably at the top of my list — and I fucking love this movie.
Honest question... what does that even mean at this point? “Star Trek” like the original series?
I first got into Trek from TNG. Saw a couple eps of ToS, never had any real interest. Liked the movies a lot though. TNG only really got good when they STOPPED trying to be like “Star Trek.” But as far as “Star Trek” goes,…
I tried to stay spoiler-free and away from most of the speculation and I think it paid off for me. The fans who have whipped themselves into a frenzy because the final 10 minutes wasn’t a bunch of cameos for people whose names aren’t anywhere in the title of the show seem to be taking it pretty hard.
I’m sure it has something to do with water and using real boats for a lot of it.
I was thinking the exact same thing!
Clark def worked his way up to “top reporter” status, and if Lois won the pulitzer, then her salary def got a boost. That also does not include book sales and royalties and years of saving. Plus wouldn’t be surprised if the townhouse was a former rundown home that Lois and Clark bought cheaply and then spruced it up…
so i can sit on my comfortable couch and play on a 55" OLED screen?
Star Trek has a well established visual language when it comes to aliens, 90% of them are Humanoids with shit glued to their faces.
So your main takeaway from her post is that she writes funny, not that there was some (at the least) creepy shit going on that they had to make a rule like that in the first place? She was like 14 years old.
Yep - what was “out there” was that Joss was a bit of an asshole about it.
The thing though is that what Carpenter is saying has pretty much been an open secret since it happened. We should’ve been listening then and not letting his “feminist credentials” sway us. And I 100% count myself as someone who should’ve done better then, as I heard it and dismissed it.
