I think Burnham in particular is a fantastic addition to the Star Trek universe. Saru, too. Lorca is potentially great, provided they don’t take the easy way out and make him a MU impostor or something, which is aggressively uninteresting to me.

No - in fact, it’s the only logical conclusion.

I hear you. I certainly don’t have any concerns with the design of the show - I’ve been pro-bridge window for years.

I think the story has been pretty good.

They specifically stated that he’s not 100% dead

I’m...mostly enjoying the show. At least, there’s enough that I find compelling that I keep watching. I just wish it would slow down and breathe a little. I have higher hopes for Season 2, since the S1 production was clearly rushed, and had a lot of behind-the-scenes nonsense with Fuller’s departure.

The ship’s supposed to have a Chief Medical Officer, too, but apparently Lorca is assigning medical staff directly.

Yeah...as I said elsewhere, this seems to be Walking Dead-level audience trolling, at best.

To me, the best-case scenario is that he somehow survives and is able to continue on with some kind of augmentation or prosthetic, since we’ve seen so many cybernetic enhancements on the show so far.

If this arc

This Defiant thing has actually been bugging me a lot. Zack’s acknowledged suggestions that he hasn’t been giving this show a fair shake due to concerns about how it fits in to the greater timeline, and then misses something like this (and doesn’t check the facts before making such a definitive statement about a

wasn’t there a whole Jacob flashback just about people wanting to get rid of the literal magic light?

I don’t understand how anyone made it to Season 6 still expecting that everything was going to have a “realistic” explanation.

Lost was very good, beginning to end.

Possible? I guess.

I’m so glad you’re taking over the reviews!

SHIELD is dissolved again? I know in the comic books the organization has come back and closed several times, but this is getting silly.

One glance around the media landscape suggests you’re very incorrect. The bottom fell out of the advertising market years ago, and most media companies (particularly online) are struggling to build revenue. There are legitimate, serious problems for any media company that’s not backed by a massive corporation (which
