Trump is functionally stupid. No matter how bright he may be (dim, in my opinion), if you don’t use your intelligence, don’t read, don’t listen, and don’t try to learn, you are stupid.

I think Trump’s megalomania and narcissism are the roots of his evil, not necessarily stupidity. He fully believes that whatever he says is the truth because he can not possibly be wrong. That’s also why he will never fully accept losing the election without claiming that somebody else was the reason for it.

Really? I like Biden but I think he would be too easily goaded into a name calling contest with Trump. I have a lot of issues with Hillary on a policy level but I don’t think there’s anyone better to face Trump. She’s the most level headed person I’ve ever seen and since Trump’s misogyny seems to have been one of the

I wonder if he knows the term “attractive nuisance.” If not, he soon will.

Jesus christ. What an unbelievable douche.

He needs a smack with a newspaper across the back of his head.

‘When health insurance and sick days are costly and precarious, the prospect of having to tend to a kid with a broken leg for six weeks is enough to make a mom... nervously remind her kid not to climb too high on the jungle gym.’

Amen. I read the article yesterday and it struck me as a compendium of everything that annoys me about Silicon Valley circa 2016 (I lived there until 2010). Having had a free-range childhood there back in the 70's and 80's, I don’t think he’s encouraging free-range, original play all that much. Instead, he engineered

This guy is a fucking asshole.

Also: let me just add, as someone who grew up in SF: If you raise your kids in Menlo Park, you need to accept that they are going to grow up to be softer than baby shit. It’s fait accompli. Your glorified trampoline isn’t going fix that.

Yes, but it’s a MALE helicopter, which is sooooo much better then those emasculating, browbeating female ones. It also fits perfectly into the “silent dad” narrative, where kids like he was in the sixties grew up watching Bambi’s dad stare at him from a crag, then run off, as the epitome of good parenting. Do one

6) YEARS spent dealing with legal fallout from lawsuits while pouting in online blogs about our “pussified” society—waiting to be checked, probably within three weeks.

...woman inherits the earth?

Valley Libertarian BINGO!

lol this fool hasn’t heard of the attractive nuisance doctrine, has he?

Ok, totally, 100% support this message. And I am guilty of most all of the parenting shenanigans. I grew up without shit and now I funnel energy towards my kid, because....it’s my fucking job! It is very hard to come from a childhood of neglect and all-around hardship, and then not try to give your child the opposite.

The ’60s were a time of American prosperity not seen since, and that prosperity had social ripples that enabled suburban kids to grow up like Mike Lanza. Today, roaming free in a safe place is an enormous privilege for most American kids. Helicopter parents are a symptom of outrageous income inequality, not maternal

He’s right! When I was a kid, this is what we played with!

Nah, he just sounds like an asshole bully who never grew out of being an asshole bully. He seems to be unable to distinguish between healthy play and letting kids be assholes to each other. And now he works in the asshole bully lab called Silicon Valley where they are doing “research” on how to transform the world

lol yeah I agree man women are terrible, just awful.
