The CDC is rigged. Statisticians are part of the mathematical elite.

It could be both though. Even if it turns out the guy did produce credentials, why wouldn’t she just have said something like “thanks, but a doctor already volunteered, we’ll let you know if we need additional help” or something. Instead she just questioned her credentials from the get go.

YES. You can bet if I was him or his spouse I’d be suing Delta from here to Venus. He could have fucking DIED while the flight attendant was casting around for Marcus Welby, White Doctor.

I was on a flight where the crew was asking for medical personnel and on the third request I finally rang my bell because I’m a dentist. Yes, i have enough training to deal with an emergency but I don’t actually want to do it. Nobody without these skills is just pretending to know what they’re doing

I’ve never heard of flight staff asking for such credentials in an emergency situation, including when a woman gives birth on a plane. I witnessed a health emergency in an airport, there happened to be a doctor nearby, and he sprang into action but no one asked him for credentials.

I once had a flight attendant (on Delta, would you believe) tell me that I couldn’t sit in the exit row because you have to be at least 16 to be seated there. I told her I was 28, and instead of apologizing she said “Am I going to have to make you show me your ID?”

I’ve done multiple assists in flight, and only twice actually have traveled with work id (as close as you get to “credentials”). Usually (now on later occasions) they’ll put you on with a medical team on ground (UPMC) in the more serious case. They’ll ask some probing questions and you’ll get on with treatment. I’m

And it is what makes me think that she was dismissed because of her age than anything else. “Sweetie” is what older folks say to younger people to dismiss them. “Oh, sweetie, that’s adorable that you think you are a doctor. Now run along and let the grown ups handle this.”

But apparently they didn’t ask some other passenger who claimed to be a doctor for his credentials? From her Facebook post:

Not to mention they didn’t ask to see the white Doctor’s credential when he presented himself:

Along these lines, I WISH FLIGHT ATTENDANT ASSHAT HAD WATCHED MORE GREY’S ANATOMY

I’ve had first aid training and I don’t jump up and volunteer it unless there’s literally no one else. Because my YMCA first aid/CPR course is probably only one step up from “I watched a lot of Grey’s Anatomy” and there’s 99% of the time someone way more qualified.

I don’t believe the part about asking for creditials either. From articles I have read in the past they ask for *any* healthcare professional. As a nurse I can guarantee you that none of us walk around with any kind of proof that we are a nurse. The last article I read previously says when there is legit a medical

Right?! When someone has a medical emergency, lay people don’t usually jump up and say, “I’ve been doing a lot of Web MDing lately! Let me have a go!”

My ex-mother in law has a very heavy Japanese accent, after they destroyed her brand new luggage, when she went to talk to someone there about it the rep mocked her accent. Does Delta hire for racism? Also, they didn’t help her at.all, surprise! Yeah, I never fly Delta anymore.

My experience with Delta, as a brown lady. Three years ago, flying from a meeting in Detroit to SF, standing in the premier line. Gate agent repeatedly tries to shoo me out of the line a good 10 minutes before boarding was going to start. Mind you he approached none of the other (white, male) passengers in the

“oh no sweetie put ur hand down, we are looking for actual physicians or nurses or some type of medical personnel, we don’t have time to talk to you” I tried to inform her that I was a physician but I was continually cut off by condescending remarks.

Let’s split the difference and agree that the flight attendant is an idiot without insulting people based on their professions.

“This is going higher than her.”
