That’s actually part of the sticking point with these people. Western states have obnoxiosly high rates of Federal land control. For example, 84.5% of Nevada is controlled by the Federal Government. That control wasn’t always legitimately obtained either. The ink had barely dried on the Treaty of Guadelupe Hidalgo…

Have you been paying attention to Iraq and Afghanistan at all? You do realize that the very point of military training is to equip the military to deal with exactly that scenario? The guys with bolt action hunting rifles and vietnam era mortars are dangerous for precisely the reason that people like you dismiss them.
