Any dog can do a lot of damage to a human being. Please don’t perpetuate the myth of pitties being more vicious than other animals. It’s hard enough already for them to be treated with respect. So many are ignored at shelters and/or are euthanized just by virtue of being a pitbull type dog

If I was a high school student looking to do impactful journalism, whatever I might or might not think of the 1619 Project, Hannah-Jones would be a massive draw.  This is a huge loss for UNC, a dumb self-inflicted wound because they just had to get caught up in idiotic culture war bullshit.

What's the problem here? They didn't have stock available for everyone, so they chose a method that rewarded their customers and probably also cut down on scalping. They probably got more consoles in the hands of gamers who actually wanted them than went to people who just want to flip them. 

If I recall from other articles on this site I think there was questions about whether they were breaking labour laws hiring a minor and they were sued by a former member for getting members to sign contracts that broke some sort of laws or some shit. Basically they seem sketchy as hell and its wild anyone would trust…

I signed the petition for Burton way back in December/January.  I didn’t hear anything about him actively campaigning until a month or so ago.  He waited for others to put his name forward, and, when that wasn’t getting it done, started campaigning himself.  That seems like a bit of restraint to me.

Her being overlooked saddens me greatly. She seems destined to become the great assistant coach who never gets a shot at a head job. There is NO ONE who has had a great (positive) effect on politics in this country, but her remarkable ability at organizing and getting out voters may be where her genius is.

Yep. And I’m well aware that this is the case for women in general. Once they start seeking power, people hate them. Happened throughout Hillary Clinton’s career. Her popularity tanked as soon as she’d run for office.

I encourage everyone to loudly shut down any talk of the players contributing to helping out all the workers and stadium employees.

Warren was my first choice, but it’s clear now that she can’t win and that she appeals to a lot of the same voters that Sanders does. I don’t fault her for staying in as long as she has (frankly, she was clearly the best choice IMO, both for beating Trump and for actually enacting a progressive agenda, but apparently…
