I agree with you that the doctor should be receptive to their patients and how they want to be treated, but I also think that the doctor wasn’t necessarily in the wrong. Without feedback from the patient, you don’t always know what it is that they want.

I usually ask to meet after we exchange 3-5 messages, if it seems to be going somewhere pleasant. I often get a fadeout after that, because I think people are still really intimidated by meeting people from the internet.

Sometimes it’s harder because of a small dating pool. You have a significantly smaller number of people who are willing to date the same sex, so you can’t always just go out and meet someone pleasant. You first have to discern if they even swing your way!
