Actually seeing Shinji accept himself, his faults and his prior actions and use that pain to support the people he cared about rather than beating himself down further was ridiculously touching. The journey from 20 years ago has been a good one.

I’m so glad you posted this. One of my favorites bands since high school — saw them perform Second Stage in Atlanta to a crowd about 20 strong in 2002 — and they continue to push the limit more than a decade later. A damn fine song, as well.
