Chrono Cross is about as polarizing a sequel as it gets. I strongly recommend it.

People tend to be split on that question. And it’s usually not over the same things.

Many articles about a popular game on a video-game focused blog? Fuckin weird right? Whats next, the new star wars getting tons of articles on movie sites? The fuck is goin on around here?

As another non-white guy, I do think it’s kind of fucked up that some people are so put off by dark-skinned people that they would devote hours and hours to creating a mod that removes them from a video game.

If I read the article right, they didn’t disable the mod; they just removed it from their own website. You can still get it at third-party sites, including ModDB. That sounds pretty close to the approach you’re recommending, no?

And they can. You can still get and install the mod, just not from Steam. Let’s not pretend like the discussion surrounding the mod was pure hearted and innocent. Paradox obviously doesn’t want that available through a channel it has control over.

I spent a while trying to think of something to say about this, but all it came out were sighs and facepalming.

I fail to see how Japan’s lukewarm reception is anywhere comparable to the US’s mass hysteria.

Why do they have to mess with an amazing series by making an unnecessary live action movie?

They didn’t blow their head off. Just a foot and most of the attached leg (Saturn outside Japan). Then they bled out (piracy and the PS2).

Yeah I don’t get it either. The game is pretty fun, but nothing that special :/.

If it takes ten hours for a game to start being interesting, again: the designers have made a bad game, because it’s around the tenth hour that I gave up playing the damn thing every time

This just describes that FF13 simply failed in execution, despite having decent ideas. The World Ends With You did a far better job of introducing a new gameplay style, and making it engaging early on all the way through the end.

Forgetting about FF15 for a moment, I like the direction Square Enix is going. This is a company that has never done things like elicit actual player feedback for a demo, open themselves to fans on social media on twitter, and provide insightful interviews about actual game development.

So you disagree with the guy who performed the move himself as to what he was actually doing?

My philosophy: if you have to tell me when to laugh, the joke is probably not funny.

He’s just straight-up wonderful as Max. That show being canceled is one of the top 10 TV injustices of this century.

Final Fantasy X’s battle system did require more thought than previous games, but what you’re praising is the paper-scissors-rock system. Once if you figure out that Wakka’s good against flying enemies and so forth, it just comes down to “Oh, we’re up against rock, rock, and paper, better use paper, paper, and
