10 was kind of a Generational thing. The old school FF fans didn’t receive it as well as the newer fans pulled in by the beautiful visuals. I know lots of people who love it where I simply regard it as an ok entry.

Such an aggressive post. You should really calm down a little bit. If you want to spend $60 on it, my meager opinion on it isn’t going to stop you.
Another pointless piece of hardware?
I can agree with you to a point on that. The crafting of XIV is really a cut above the rest(The real endgame is crafting!). Gathering is also more interesting, but those timed nodes...I despise them so much.
I’m pretty happy with Tobata, I really want to see what he’ll do on a Final Fantasy that’s entirely his own Direction.
Although to be fair, it’s only linear once you’re done with the MSQ and the Side quests, leaving you with the vertical Gear Grind that is Tomes/Tokens.
I prefer to think of it as mind numbingly dull to the point of causing brain damage unplayable. The story is such a convoluted mess and you don’t even get to level up till what, 2 hours in? It was, to me, a stripped down and simplified version of Final Fantasy 10 mechanically.
Unplayable.
This is my favorite comment so far. XIV is a fine game, unless you're capped out and just doing the mindless tome grind, but it's no where near the level of the pre PS2 era.
It will never go F2P, looking at 11 and XIV 1.0, SE has far too much pride to do F2P set ups.
You eventually will have to play with other people. As an MMO, there's no way around it.
If that's true, then count me out of Final Fantasy. I liked XIV, but it's really far too linear and choreographed for my taste anymore.
I think this is fantastic, and you should still convince them to use a Gofundme, it could bring in more funds to help get some fun activities for the kids from people who genuinely just want to help out who aren’t necessarily a part of your local community.
Given that this game is designed to be an Alternate Reality, of which requires movement, I’m hard-pressed to find a way to make it fully accessible to everyone without completely losing what makes this game what it is.
I thought this was going to be another shoddy rip off and here I come in seeing what appears to be better than the original. I wonder if they'd be willing to export this.
This could work...but they'd have to give up on making it a serious movie in anyway and embrace the campy mess it will inevitably be.
So many innuendo's based on this particular conversation...
I did, thought it was a very fun game and had an interesting story line. Shame the others that have come out since are...well like the game in this article.
Unfortunately I am not. The most Hinduism is they have a pantheon of gods, and a pretty rich collection of legends regarding them. Islam I am also not entirely familiar with, but I am doing my own looking into it.
So this is one of those games that becomes Cult Classics, is what I gather from this. If you were to equate this to a campy/corny movie style, is it more Tremors or Evil Dead 2?
